  1. Im not a lady, but I have it and I'll send it to you....We used for our wedding...

Thank you for your email. I like some the ideas you used in your other documents.

I'm really partial to the style of slord12's. I've been splicing my own from a copy I have, but it isn't as tidy as hers.

  2. You're right! I glanced over the part where she said that she posted this elsewhere. I just went to look and while the forum is gone, there's talk about it in other people's posts who were affected, and understandably, upset, but it appears the thread got very heated. I'm not sure what was said.

She made it to the news, and got some attention. Good for her. $25 on board credit per person is a slap in the face to a person who has been planning a wedding, and basically putting large chunks of money into an event. I think this particular section of these forums knows that well.

  3. Thank you for the response and the add'll details. I like your idea about a handout for how the next day would go. It would make things smoother.

Tell us what your timeline was, and how the actual getting on board was, how your decorations were set up, tell us everything!

I'm a major lurker, but as my day gets closer, I get a bit excited to see the positive reviews.

  4. I am trying to post the pictures within the message. Please bear with me.

The first thing I did after booking the cruise was looking for flowers. The prices through the wedding experience was very pricey and I didn't want real flowers. I am not a fake flower person so I wanted something different. After searching I decided to take a chance and order wooden flowers from over seas. Let me tell you. They were amazing. They were amazing. I will attach the listing for anyone to view them. It took about six months to get them sent to me and they were half the price of real flowers.

I have never heard of wooden flowers. They look amazing! Where did you get them?

  5. We are heading to Florida tomorrow for our wedding on Thursday and will be gone for almost 2 full weeks! If I've shared the documents with you and someone else asks for them please send them and continue to share! Expect a detailed photo review when we return!!

Oh wow. I've been looking for just that! Please email me!

Here is a picture of the templates a very nice girl had pinned from her wedding and sent me. She sent me several other templates as well. Let me know if this is what you're looking for!
  6. Oh wow. I was aware that it was a possibility if I chose a cruise wedding, but yikes. I can't imagine it actually happening.

I agree with previous suggestions saying to focus on getting back some of the money for things you already paid for. It is beyond frustrating and anger inducing, but it may sting just a bit less with some of the funds back in your pocket.

  7. I cannot believe it's almost time!! I get married on Monday!! We leave on Friday for Puerto Rico and then Sunday on the cruise we go!! For the most part, everything is set! It's just a waiting game now... I got my hair done yesterday, and I'm getting my nails done today.. I'm so excited!!!

Super exciting. Hope everything goes smoothly.

  8. Hello all. I can't believe that getting married in 4 days! It's been a long but exciting journey and I'm looking forward to how everything comes together, as it is officially out of my hands. I will try to post some pics after the cruise, and hopefully I can answer more questions when everything's done.

Omg! I'd be super hyped and anxious.

Mine isn't until November, and I'm already just ready to burst.

  9. We were on Carnival we had 98 guests though, 35 sailing the rest non-sailing. They automatically upgraded it to a four tier after I submitted the final paperwork, I decided over the phone what I wanted for that tier to be lol.

Well, with that many guests, I can understand. I'm probably going to stick with three tiers. The cake has me the most nervous. Lol.

Interesting thing I found out from Carnival:

The dimensions of the wedding cakes are -

2 Tier (for up to 50 guests) Diameter: Top Tier 10”, Bottom tier 12”

3 tier (from 51-75 guests) Diameter: Top Tier 8”, Middle tier 10”, Bottom Tier 12”

    Height of all cakes, 3.5”

I asked for this information, so might as well share.

  10. That's about how I feel too! I'm glad it will be simple and I will only have to worry about a handful of things. I'm not an only child but my mom is already pressuring us to invite so and so who I don't talk to or what's her name that I barely know... It's frustrating. And exactly why we wanted to do a cruise wedding. It's an easy excuse to say no to a big guest list!

We also live in Texas... Just north of Dallas. Galveston is an easy drive and saves money so we don't have to book flights.

If you come across anyone is Galveston that does hair let me know. I'm hoping to get it done early that morning before we go to the port. I also think we will be having a rehearsal dinner the night before to collect gifts and other items that we can't or don't want to take on the ship. Plus it will give us a little more time to mingle with guests that aren't sailing.

Good luck with everything! Keep us posted... Do you know what you're doing for invites yet?

Yup. A lot easier to blame the cruise, but my mom knew I wanted a small wedding. I was hoping for 50, but it's looking about 60 right now.

I sent invites in November 2014, with RSVP by 2/1, but gathering info about sailing/non-sailing has been a pain, especially since legal names are wildly different than the names used daily.

My invites were passport invitations with boarding pass RSVPs. Everyone thought they were "so unique" and it was a hit, but a quick look around the boards shows it is common for cruise weddings. I loved them! I loved the young lady who did mine. Super easy to communicate with (texting!)
