  1. She unzipped her backpack to remove her laptop, and didn’t zip it!closed. As such he could remove it rather quickly & quietly. Further, her back was away from the entrance and she thus didn’t see who was entering or leaving. The perpetrator approached from behind her.

He had been sitting in the corner of the room, probably observing all the coming & going in and out of the lobby. The surveillance video showed that when I left the room he sneaked behind some high backed Club Chairs which provided some obstruction so others in the lobby would not notice him. There were plenty of people around, but at the very moment no one else was seated nearby having breakfast or drinking coffee as had been the case intermittently that morning.

Your wife didn't notice someone kneeling between her legs? I'm not sure I want to know what you two normally do in hotel lobbies for that not to be a surprise.

  2. YUK. It's been awhile since I've been on RCCL-they used to do double odds. Celebrity does double odds, but they never have a craps table less than $10 minimum. All other lines I've been on have been $5 minimum and double odds. I ask every time and that's what they tell me.

NCL does the standard 345 behind on all their tables that the basic land casinos do.

  3. I can't speak to your information about all of the games but what you wrote about Blackjack is not true. In all of my NCL cruises:

    - Only $6 BJ tables ($5 main bet, $1 side bet) pay 6:5 on Blackjack. $10+ pay standard 3:2. I usualyl sit at a $15 table and have always been paid 3:2.

    - Double after split is definitely allowed, except when splitting Aces in which you only get one card (standard across most casinos, land or sea).

    - I've doubled down with an 8 and have seen some do so on a 12 (ugh), so the 9/10/11 rule is not true either

That's been my experience as well. On the Gem, Breakaway, Dawn and Pearl.

They're also pretty accommodating in opening up non-continuous shuffle tables if you ask for it. Or higher minimum tables at the times they've got only the cheap tables open.

  4. One thing for sure, on Craps i only place numbers, pass line not worth it since all you can put down is single odds behind the line. At least that was the rule on RCCL ships, assuming its the same for NCL. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

Single odds behind, is that true? I've never seen any casino give worse than 345. And if there's some competing casinos around they'll often allow more than that.

What about 5 and 9, not allowed to make your odds behind even?

If that's the case then I'm guessing the only people at that craps table will be the same people who you see crowding the one dollar blackjack tables splitting 10s.

  5. It might depend on the cruiseline's relationship with the officials.

When we sailed the breakaway from new York back to back we had to go through a second muster drill. ( on the plus side ncl doesn't require you to bring your life jackets ).

We just came from a back in the Caribbean on the msc divina from Miami two weeks ago.

Our butler told us that they'd already spoken to officials and that we did not have to repeat the muster drill.

We did not go to the muster and we weren't called up for a makeup muster or anything. So that all worked.

  6. All-inclusive private restaurant, unlimited drinks in all MSC Yacht Club areas* or your minbar.

*Starting Summer 2017, unlimited beverage selection will also be available in all bars and restaurants of the ship according to the drink selection available in the each venue.

Yay, Summer has begun. The zero bill is for the opportunity of extra tipping.

I don't think it was for tipping. You don't have to sign it, and there's no spot to actually add a tip. They also usually don't give a receipt, just sometimes.

Everybody just tips in chips anyway in the casino.

  7. So clearly I'm doing something wrong.

Here's my experience with the YC elevators

    Calling:

Using your card to call the elevators seemed to make no difference.

In face, when already on the 16th it would make multiple trips between 15 and 6 before eventually coming to 16.

This was confirmed by another couple at one point when they were also trying to get off the 16th.

I'd usually just walk down the stairs to 15, saves a lot of time.

Once in an elevator that could go to 16:

Couldn't press 16 without inserting my card.

So, once I inserted my card and pressed 16 it would still go to whatever floor was next on the list of buttons already pressed.

Once it arrived at that floor it would clear ALL floors and close the doors.

Hopefully someone would be quick enough to press a floor above us before it went back down to 6.

This process would repeat on every pressed floor. Clear all buttons, rinse repeat.

So I would usually end up just hitting 15 without using my card, would get me to 16 a lot more quickly.

Edit: his was on the Divina last week of Dec 2016

  8. What kind of level of play are we talking to get something? I am just a casual player. No big stakes. I thought I read somewhere that they have some free play coupons too?

I'm not sure. I did about 50 hours of blackjack on that 7 day cruise.

Usually at the 10 dollar minimum table, bets up to about 100.
