WOW...Martini Mom this is one of the best reviews I have ever read and the pictures are perfect. I for sure know about "the look" and if I book the cave tubing, I am going to get that look. You have convinced me to search for something else to do in Belize(our first time will be in Jan. 2016). Any suggestions from anyone?

I'm waiting for information to start posting once the Norwegian Jade gets to Houston Port in a few months. Maybe the first few weeks of cruisers can post some ideas for us concerning lodging and transportation from the two airports.
-
First time sailing with NCL(Jade...January 2016) and I am so, so excited! I have been on RCL and Carnival and are familiar with their food options after 11pm(not including room service). Does NCL have something open all night like on the other two lines I have been on? Curious if it is different then Carnival's pizza/salad offering or RCL cold sandwiches/pizza/dessert offering. I guess I am just too curious to have to wait and find out.

What a terrific review. I'm leaving on the Miracle in a matter of weeks and your review came at a perfect time.
Do you happen to remember the cost of a taxi from the port to the Long Beach airport? I'm trying to decide if I should pay for the Carnival transfer service or just hop in a cab to and from the port.

Keep it coming. You are doing a wonderful job of sharing your cruise with us. Perfect mix of pictures. I loved the Dream and would have to say probably my favorite cruise ship.
-
I loved the Dream. It is my favorite ship out of all my cruises. No need to worry about any bar. You will have the absolute best time all over the whole ship. Stop at every bar as each has its own experience. I really loved the whirlpools. So many times my husband and I had the whole whirlpool to ourselves, drink in hand. I never could and still can't believe that on such a huge ship that we had so much space to ourselves.

I'm sailing on the Miracle leaving on May 16. If it was hot when you were there, I think I will be really hot. Is the ocean water warm for swimming, splashing round or still pretty cold? The little letter in your suit case, if you had to do it different, what would you suggest?
Your review so far is terrific. Great pictures and I really appreciate all the information you are providing.

I checked on the Krystal web site today. Looks really nice. Since our ship is over night in PV, I checked on what an over night, all inclusive cost would be. A room for two, all inclusive is $118 with check in at 3pm(our ship arrives at noon) and check out at 11am(our ship leaves at 3). Almost sounds fun to walk from the ship to the resort and stay for the whole night. All food, drinks and lodging for the cost of one excursion. Has anyone ever done this? I realize that I am paying for lodging and food on the ship but what an adventure!

I'm cruising the Carnival Miracle on May 16 and booked a balcony guaranty. I just checked under "manage" my cruise today, 33 days out, and I received my room assignment. Hope this information helps.

If my husband and I want get off the ship and just start walking, are there beach type bars in walking distance in PV? We really just want to have a drink or two, some food and maybe a beach massage, swim or parasail. Is this in walking distance?

I need advice. I'm trying to decide if I should book the Carnival shuttle from Long Beach airport to Carnival Cruise terminal at $22 per person(two of us) or catch a cab. Anyone know the cost of a cab to the cruise terminal?

I'm cruising on the Miracle May 16 which has the over night stay in PV. Can you tell me a little about the experience? Do many stay late into the evening out on the town or come back to the ship when it starts getting dark? Can cruisers come and go all night long? Just wondering what to expect.
Keep up the great pictures as they let me see what fun I have in store.

I have used both. Carnival transfer and private companies. Quite frankly, I prefer using the Carnival transfer. I pay for the service, they know what time and what airline I'm on. I just go to bag claim and there they are. Private companies, I'm calling them or they are calling me, where is the van, where do I go.....I feel that I'm very well taken care of when I book Carnival transfers.

I LOVE Carnival Cruising.....just the excitement of planning, getting to port, and finally walking onto the ship! WOW, just so much fun every single day. I have never had a bad Carnival Cruise but must say my favorite ship so far has been the Dream. We ate at the tandori grill every chance we had. It was just so goood. My husband and I wish it had been open for dinner and not just lunch.
I highly recommend trying a Carnival Cruise!!

Wayne and all Mexican Riviera Cruisers,
I was thinking about buying pesos here in Vegas before I leave for my cruise. Do you think it's worth doing or just easier to pay with dollars in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta?
-
Wayne,
I'll be on the Miracle in May going to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. Can you please tell me where in both places you received such a great deal on a massage? We love to go to the beach, find a great little beach bar with good food/drinks and get a massage. Any other tips you would like to share about either port will be greatly appreciated.

I will be arriving at IAH at 6am on Sunday, December 7 for my cruise on Navigator of the Seas. Does anyone know an approx. time the first RCL bus will leave the airport? It's just two of us so the cost of any other transportation is just too much vs. RCL transfer fees.

Martini Mom,
One other question, your opinion of the cheers package on Carnival? What would make it worth the cost? If you didn't purchase a wine package, would it be a good value just to get glasses of wine and all the other great drinks you had?
