I think the real question is how did you end up with 1250$ in OBC and what else could you possibly spend that all on??

Got 1000. For booking the cruise when it was first offered with the change in itinerary.  Another 250. For my stock.  I even have points with the princess visa which I feel I don’t need to use.

  2. We are taking a cruise shortly and did not buy a package because we have 1250.00 in obc. My question is are we able to purchase Wi-Fi for the day every third or fourth day?  We plan on bringing cell phones but using them in ports.  So onboard would like to check email when we are at sea for several days.  Thanks for the help.

  3. From items I have read, depending on when you booked and payed for Princess Plus, you may or may not get everything they show now.  I have booked but not paid yet for an Oct. cruise which includes Princess Plus.  Will I get the 2 casual meals or specialty dessert things.  I am curious.

    thanks in advance

On Dec.7th, we booked a suite on the Discovery Princess for next month.

We were told that because we had a suite, the 360 dining was a suite perk.

TODAY, I got an email saying to call the number provided to make the reservation for my complementary 360 dining experience.

Spoke to 3 people that seemed confused before one finally said we were NOT eligible.Apparently that perk was discontinued on

Dec. 2nd and anyone booking after that date was not entitled. We were 5 days late.

They apologized for the email but said....too bad !

On the Princess website TODAY it says "360: A Priceless Benefit To Princess Suite Guests".

It is really the principle of the thing. I feel we are entitled to this.

An exhausting fight for hours on the phone today with no resolve.

What do you think ? ?

Just for the future, when I book any cruise with princess, I immediately print the summary.  This way if it were to read complimentary 360 you would have it in writing.  If they remove that perk, it is still in your paperwork and I can only guess they would have to honor it.

Lovely review as always and great pictures! Are the Panama Canal Certificates standard issue for everyone aboard when doing a transit on Princess Cruises?

Funny, we have done four Panama Canal crossings and never received a certificate.  I do have one for crossing the international dateline and my son and husband had a picture taken crossing the equator, but not on princess.

Even crazier, I have heard that they use those crappy prizes to tip their cabin steward!

On princess, there was a notorious couple on a multitude of cruises that used the prizes for the staff.  They also got into a lot of arguments with everyone.  Word got out, believe this or not, supposedly princess requested they no longer sail with them.

Does anyone know if there is any bars on the Discovery Princess that uses the Riedel Wine Glasses?

    Tom😀

I don’t know but, we went on several Grand Princess cruises several years ago.  I inquired on the first cruise about having thin rims on the glass.  This was in the Vines.  The wonderful sommelier pulled out in the back two riedel glasses.  The rest of the cruise he nightly served our wine in the reidels

the other Grand cruises we took for the next two years, the same sommelier worked and astonishingly to me he remembered our names and automatically gave us the reidels.

By the way, his name was Christopher.  The grand is no longer in San Francisco.

heres wishing you the same good fortune.

Thanks so much for your info! Both earlier and now. I was waiting for the website submission because I don't like doing App stuff. But my cruise is getting closer so I will go ahead and email my request to them. I hope Stockperks does get a web page for OBC submission. I've got more cruises coming up. Thanks again.

I was so frustrated and finally received Scott's name at stockperks.  He told me what info I should provide and I did.  Today finally received confirmation of obc for stocks.

@Knickearth...did you receive a confirmation email from Princess showing that you are paid in full?  If so...you're good to go!

I went online at 4:30 PM Sat.  and where it reads to pay  with charge card, I put in the info.  Immediately received response that my account was paid in full.  Should be interesting if my travel person with Princess gets the  credit for it she has been "begging" for.  I won't be using her again.

Unless you have it in writing, I wouldn’t count on it. I’ve never had them pay my final payment automatically. Not saying it doesn’t happen.

I wouldn’t risk having it cancel and losing the deposit. I would pay it. Also, too late now but I never wait until the final day to make the payment. Too many things can go wrong. I’m a worry wart though.

    Good Luck with it.

Thanks much.  I took your advice and paid.  I too am worry wart.

  11. Today my final payment is due.  My princess cruise person advised me the other day to not worry as it is paid automatically.  It is after 4 pm and it has not been paid.  I am fearful of losing my reservation.  Has anyone had this experience?  I feel if I pay myself that they would charge it later and I would have paid twice.  Any suggestions welcomed.

  12. So my distrust of Stockperks site caused me to email the obc request.  Shortly after sending it I received two emails.  First one thanked me for sending it and telling me it will take up to 21 days to process.  The second email told me the new process is Stockperks.  I will wait to see if it gets processed.

  13. I learned this app is how to submit your stock info for shipboard credit.  After going on it, I am leery.  Does it get access to one’s stock info in general?
It asks so many types of questions.

has anyone used it yet? Please let me know what you think.  Thanks

We have never used Princess Air and are looking to book for a European cruise. The fares I see are about half of the airline fares.
    My questions are:

    1. flexible fares are refundable but do the quoted fares change prior to payment if the airline fare increases?

    2. can we use airline miles to upgrade after booking?

    3. major drawbacks to using ez air for Europe?

I am sure these questions have been asked but would be grateful for any answers.
    thank you

Don’t know the answers but I booked years ago ezair to Europe and back to Calif  from NY on a transatlantic.  The fare at the time was approx &450. Each.  I somehow got into the habit if checking the airfare once a month prior to having to pay it.  We ended up paying 189. Per person for the flights.

last wee I checked on ezair our flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Calif which was $950. For 2.  It dropped to 800. For 2.  Same flight and seats.

I consider this a big plus for ezair.

$11 sounds like an additional entree in MDR (steak, lobster etc), but if you never ate in MDR, that doesn't make sense either.  Stick with it. $11 isn't a lot, but it's the principle of the thing. If 3,000 passengers each had an $11 charge they didn't challenge, that's a $33,000 bonus for the cruise line.

I agree with you.  Don’t forget, it is 11.00$ today imagine what it could be tomorrow.

  16. After reading cc for quite sometime and especially post major covid - I read the food is not what it was in quantity and quality, the elite perks also have dropped or disappeared altogether, and a lot of the costs have skyrocketed.  I can only surmise Princess is no longer interested in loyalty of slightly older or very much older individuals.  What is funny is that these same older folks have children and grandchildren who want to cruise now or later and a lot of us who use to automatically recommend a princess cruise, will no longer.  Losing business is not a good business plan.

  17. Reading all these responses is heartwarming.  I remembered the 2 transatlantic we did, one was on the new noordam’s first crossing, but both TAs had British bands and one performed Glen Miller music.

also we were with sone single women who wanted to dance and the ship had male dancers whose job was to ask single women to dance.

the ambiance on the cruises is unequaled.
