  1. We stayed there pre-cruise last year. It is great for one or two nights, right across from the pier and walking distance to several restaurants and grocery store. Not too far from the port, we took an Uber.

This is not the same Days Inn that Capt_BJ is referring to.

  2. So I submitted a price protection to Carnival and it was approved, however they messed it up. So I called Carnival and got it fixed.  The agent told me there was a better rate. The rate I booked originally was a "price protection rate" which I know you have to do to get reductions. The rate she was looking at was not but she said that the "price protection" stays with your booking if that was your original rate even if you get a reduction and that rate is not.   In the past I was under the impression that you moved to the new rate and lost that. Can someone please confirm one way or the other for me.   I do not want to be stuck not being able to get those reduction as my cruise is 2023, lots of time for rate drops.

  3. We buy them when Kroger has their 4x fuel points. We end up with about 4 free fill ups of gas at 35 gallons each. So if gas is $2.30 per gallon then we are getting $81.00 of free gas for each fill up. Much better than the 10% that we used to get thru Verizon or AARP.

  4. I have searched but cannot seem to find much information on San Juan boarding. I have read a few reviews saying that FTTF may not be necessary in San Juan and would love some feedback on this. Also when is the earliest time anyone has boarded with FTTF, I know in New Orleans we have gotten there around 10:15 and were on the ship by 11 ish.

  5. This is what is posted on their website.

HOURS - We open when the cruise ships arrive...and we stick around to wave goodbye! For early morning ships, the beach is open when the ship arrives, the bar at ~9 am & the grill at ~11 am. For large groups we can open to suit your group's needs.

  6. I have not had this experience either this was from someone evidently who just got back from a cruise last week and it is something new. I understand that there are different types of drinks that come in different size glasses. They had stated that they were with someone who did not have Cheers and ordered same drink and the Cheers came in smaller glasses. I just wanted to see if anyone else had the same experience.

I am good with smaller amount of mixer as long as the alcohol is the same amount and not trying to start a rumor, trying to get the facts.
