  1. We will be visiting Nachi in April. Wondering if anyone has rented jet skis there? I believe it shows them available to rent on their website. If you rent, do you have to reserve in advance or is it something you can decide on when you get there? Planning on being a relaxing day, but a little adventure might just add to the day!

  2. I am planning Stingray City & snorkeling for myself, DH and another couple. However, the rest of our group (3 couples) are planning on renting scooters.

While I don't want to be a "Debbie Downer" here, I am concerned for my friends who want to do this. I've never been to Grand Cayman but a friend of mine that has mentioned how bad the traffic can be. Most of these folks wanting to rent these scooters are not experienced riders. Although I am an experienced motorcycle rider myself, I don't think I'd be comfortable doing this.

Am I being a nervous Nellie? Or should there be concern here?

  3. I agree, we would like to at least book Cirque. We wanted to book it for the first night. It makes me feel just a little bit like the red headed stepchild. Our cruise should be just a important as everyone else's and they should already have given us a heads up about the entertainment or lack thereof.

I agree the two April sailings are getting the short stick with the entertainment. BMG was also one of the reasons we picked this particular ship as well and now not only will they not be there, I have serious doubts about a reasonable replacement. I understand not being compensated for missed ports but they knew the BMG contract would be up yet still sold bookings for these dates knowing we would never get what was advertised.

  4. I was on same cruise and also on aft. 10319 to be exact. Our room was super clean and we had the best steward we have ever had. Sorry yours wasn't so great. My daughter was two doors down also aft, and her room was perfect too, must be we got the best steward on the ship! I can't believe you have the energy to start your review I am still looking at three loads of laundry and of course looking at cruises for next year!

We are in 10318, must be opposite corner? My sister is next to us in 10320. Happy to hear you were pleased with your cabins.

  5. I just called and was told they are still working on it....you call and get different answers from different people.....I mentioned that someone else was told there would be no pre bookings for April per a call and she said that was not true (probably is though lol) ......She said call back in a few days - OK that is what they kept saying at 90 days.....I am also concerned becauseI want to book Cirque for our family but I guess I will still be able to on board if no one else can book either :( Forgot to mention I was put on hold for a while as well but no sure who they are checking with to get different answers

Well, technically, it's not really different answers. Just that you were told to call back in a few days. The girl I spoke with said they would send an email when/if we could pre-book. As of right now...there is NO pre-booking for anything in April. I agree, would like to be able to at least pre-book Cirque but, like you said....if everybody has to do so onboard shouldn't be a big deal. We'll probably do it from the TV in our room. :)

  6. hopefully you can call? I am in meetings all morning/early afternoon but hoping to call later this afternoon. Let me know what they tell you and I will reply as well.

Just got off the phone with a very nice, sympathetic rep at NCL. She did put me on hold to get clarification and said there will be no pre-booking entertainment for the April sailings. If it changes, we will get an e-mail letting us know it is open for reservations. Also, there is no firm replacement for BMG during April according to her so BTF is not a sure thing either. Guess we'll be on the mystery entertainment cruises!

  7. Thank you so much for posting the dailies. We sail 3/29 and are getting super excited! Our shows are booked and have been since we booked about 2 months ago. But our sailing is one of the last w BMG so we didn't have any problems booking shows. Hope others are able to book soon too, I feel your frustration.

We have hit 60 days.....and still nothing. No option to book entertainment online.

  8. I've got 60 days to go until the April 5th sailing, just checked the Ncl website, still can't book entertainment

Just curious.....have you been able to book entertainment yet? We're 63 days out now, so you are well within 60. NCL still has the BMG screen when you go into MyNCL. Would be nice to know for sure what we're actually getting instead.

  9. I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to help me out with the meaning of BTF. I'm sure it's obvious, but I can't figure it out. I googled and found that BTF is Boulder Total Return Fund on the NYSE, but you probably don't mean that. It also can stand for Brain Trust Fund, but it's probably not that either...

    BTF = Burn the Floor

  10. My brother was given a complimentary upgrade from a M2 to a M9 for our upcoming sailing. When I look in his MyNCL (he is not a seasoned cruiser so I was helping him with some pre-cruise bookings), I noticed that his M9 is showing as a M2, cabin number is 14770. It shows as a spa mini suite on the deck plans. Did the Breakaway re-categorize some cabins so it is still showing as a M2? I'm confused and our TA is away until the 15th. Anyone have any insight? Should I just shrug it off as a glitch?

We upgraded from BE to B1. MyNCL shows our new cabin number but with the BE category. Our email confirmation shows the new cabin but has a category note showing BE to B1.

  11. the cruise is empty .... there are rooms available in all categories....It's weird, I am booked in Sept and there is only 1 AFT facing left on the whole ship....I am not sure why this one is so empty our week?

I wonder if it's empty because Easter breaks end the week before. Just a thought.

  12. We also upgraded from BE balcony to B1 Aft. We scored corner balcony 10318 & my sister got the one next to ours. We were able to upgrade after final payment when the price dropped. Very excited & hoping we made the right decision to switch cabins!

  13. I'm a big dance fan too but just saw Burn the Floor on the Getaway and was really looking forward to BMG. Oh well, you get what you get.

We GOT the UBP....so we're going to have a great time no matter what. Scoring the aft corner balcony only adds to it. We're doing the big count down now, BMG or not, we're gonna have a blast! :D

  14. Blue Man Group is ending end of March. The last two Caribbean sailings, we are still waiting to see what they are replacing them with. We've heard conflicting info that Burn the Floor will be on those last 2 sailings but the press release says different. Glad we had the opportunity to rebook and get the UBP promo as it may be our entertainment replacement!
