  1. I can't seem to pull up the Nachi website- All I get is a blank screen. Is it just me?? Thanks

I just tried it myself and got the blank screen too. Hope it's just a temporary website issue, we're booked for April.

  2. Your complaint is understandable. Your consolation, perhaps, is that prices on Epic are super, super low. And as I said above, I think Norwegian will have to add some filler entertainment during the transition, as they have to spread folks out among the various venues across the ship. 4,000 people just won't fit in Shakers and Malting's. :p

Our sail date is NOT super, super low in price. In fact it's $400/pp more than we paid last July. We're on the April 12th....last Caribbean cruise. So we are def disappointed we'll have LESS entertainment, and price is too high to cancel/rebook with new promotion. Yup, I'm a little grumpy. LOL We'll have a great time regardless but we were looking forward to BMG as it was expected they would be on our cruise.

  3. Well I guess I must be a bad parent! As one post stated growing up I was allowed to drink in front of my parents and I have allowed my sons to do the same within reason. My "under aged" son goes away to college and unless I wear blinders I know he is going to drink. I would rather know what he is drinking than try and sneak it. We spend 99% of our time on vacation together so I am aware of what he is drinking. The drinking age when I was growing up was 18 and I faired pretty well. My son is old enough to fight for this country so having a couple of beers or a glass of wine short of his 21st birthday is not going to harm him. If the package is offered then he should be able to get it for free instead of having to pay for it. I like the idea of the corks package but I don't know if they will allow that. He doesn't drink soda so that would not be beneficial. Thanks to those of you who had my back!

I am in 100% agreement with you! Sorry, but I also grew up in an era where drinking age was 18, and guess what? I don't recall the level of binge drinking we see today, from kids who don't have any experience with alcohol until they go off to college on their own. Agree that if you're old enough to die for your country, you should be able to enjoy a beer if you wish! Good luck with the promo, I hope it works out for your son.

  4. We're taking our first cruise in April and had planned on purchasing a future cruise certificate at that time. Prices seem to be going higher & higher, we may just scrap the idea & try for a last minute deal when we decide to go.

  5. We live near the Canadian border and cross often. Unfortunately, we have friends from both sides of the border that can NOT cross due to DUI convictions. They are not felony convictions, and they are not new convictions. You can do as what was stated above to gain entry, but yes, it is time and MONEY to do it. I also agree with cancelling the two with the legal issues if you want to go for this itinerary. Chances are they won't get into Canada.

  6. I've been checking as well and still nothing for Epic but the Europe cruises. I too am hoping it's just a glitch while they are updating. Our reservation info is all there. Had to chuckle, the chat box came up so I went ahead and asked and the "avid cruiser" answering said "I bet they're all sold out" Yeah, o.k.

  7. This is exactly why I had each couple in our group make their own reservations for when we are there in April. The policy is written quite clearly. If someone decides to back out, they lose their own deposit.

  8. What are you missing? Your money! Yes, it's a $30/person taxi ride for 3 miles roundtrip. That's why I looking into getting my own private tour guide. That way I can see other parts of the island, and be on my own schedule.;)

Can I ask who you are planning on using as a tour guide? We're looking at going to Turtle River/Gardens but also want to do Mystique Mountain, part of our group wants to do the bobsled. I thought I read somewhere some of the guides won't take cruise passengers to Mystique Mountain. First timers here but not afraid to do this smartly...and cost effective.

  9. You should have no problem doing them both. They are both very near the cruise dock in OR. I would pre-arrange a driver for the day, just to make sure you have someone there when you are ready to go to the next spot, but I wouldn't hesitate to just taxi. (But I've been to Jamaica a lot and feel very comfortable there).

Thanks....I thought they were both fairly close from reading descriptions, but we've never been to Jamaica. Any suggestions on how to arrange a driver for the day? Would that be like booking a private tour with one of the local guides mentioned on other threads?

  10. We will be docking in Ocho Rios in April from 8:00-5:00. We would like to go to turtle river falls & gardens and would also like to do the bobsled at Mystique Mountain. For those that have been, is this possible? And what is the best way? Private tour guide or taxi?

  11. In the winter, Cayman is the same time as Miami. In the summer, during daylight savings, they are 1 hour behind Miami (8am Miami = 7am Cayman)

Thank you....I re-read the email and that is basically what they said...I thought they were an hour behind standard time. Well that certainly clears it up and we will now be confirming our excursion with them!

  12. I want to make sure I am understanding this correctly. I want to book with Stingray Sailing and they sent an email stating the meet time is 8:30 Grand Caymen time. We are sailing NCL in April...after daylight savings which GC doesn't do..and keeps "Florida time". Sooooo...that means a 2 hour difference? We are actually in GC 6:00-2:00 their time....8:00 to 4:00 ship time? Which gives us 2 hours before the excursion, and 1 1/2 hours after? I just want to be sure we can do this before I confirm our reservation.
