Louie's Backyard.
We love the "Afterdeck Bar" at Louie's. fun place, great views.

Hi. They are all individual, however if you have an Acocado Mezcal (pictured) I would recommend 1 between 2 as it's huge and very filling (it's like a meal!). We couldn't finish ours. What they won't do is half cocktails for anyone. We were on Silhouette last week and someone with classic package asked for this and they were refused. Enjoy!
I'm sorry but that drink does not look appetizing to me at all. JMHO!;)

LOL, "No pie fo you"!!!!!!:D:D
-
LOL, yeah, the North End is def 2-3 miles from the terminal but it is a great place to go. Take a taxi, you will be on vacation!!!
Or walk there and just take a taxi back. Bring back some cannolli's to the ship! You could auction them off for a profit!:D

Unfortunately, most bars use the mix. Disgusting! Nothing like a Margarita made with fresh lime juice and good tequila.

I get tipsy just looking at that picture!;)

I am so wishing that we could go for a quick get away but we'll just have moved or will be moving into our new house here in Florida. Cruising is way more fun that unpacking!
I have been on 1 short X cruise on Connie and it WAS a booze cruise for many. Not your typical X experience or your typical X clientele, but fun none the less. Those that can make it go and enjoy!
Jane, we're renting a place here in South Gulf Cove and moving into our new place here in three weeks. Close to you.
I may look into this though if the prices are good enuf. Maybe we'll see you at Laishley's Crab House some day!

Who cares??
-
Oh you can get smaller martinis! Sounds perfect. Thanks for the info.
I also have another question which sounds pretty dumb, but can you get other drinks at the Martini Bar besides Martinis?
Not a dumb question at all if you've never been there. Yes, you can pretty much anything you want. My wife usually has just a glass of wine but now and then a Cosmopolitan...........(or two, LOL!)

LOL, just go easy on them, believe me!:D

Everything.
The guide was rude- he was French and made Anti-American and Anti-British remarks through the day.
The description of the excursion and the excursion itself were two different things.
I would cruise with Celebrity again but I would not take another Celebrity excursion.
I'm glad I wasn't on that tour, I'd have punched him in the nose.
After what we did for the French in WW2, that is amazing, just amazing.
They'd be speaking German today if not for the Americans and Brits.
You should of told him to watch the movie "Saving Private Ryan", especially the opening scene on the beach in Normandy. What a jerk.

OneStepAtATime (Inez),
I just checked and currently there is no active roll call for your cruise. I'm a little surprised as the rest of the Getaway cruises in Oct 2015 all have roll calls going.
So, two options. 1. Be Patient, someone will start one eventually. 2. Start one yourself, it's easy and a good way to learn!
Good Luck
PS A good way to find info about the ports you'll be visiting is right here on the "Ports of Call" section of the boards. I didn't look but I"m assuming that because you were here and from the date of your cruise it is a New England/Canadian itinerary. A good choice! You will love it.

I thought a polite response to an obvious "newbie" to CC might be in order.
"OP", which is short for "original poster", a Roll Call is a group of people on the same future cruise that like to talk together, arrange tours together and just get to know one another before their cruise. It is a great way to exchange info and to have some friends in advance of the cruise.
Some Roll Calls are very active with many people posting almost every day. Others aren't quite so active; they are all different.
How to find yours? Go to the "Roll Calls" section of this board. Click on the cruise line you are sailing. Then click on the ship you are sailing on. Then look for the sailing date of your ship and voila you fill find your roll call.
Good Luck! BTW, we have many many people and friends we've met from cruising and roll calls that we keep in touch with and even do other cruise with.

I don't think you have anything to worry about!:D
-
I wouldn't let your dog eat at Sloppy Joe's and for real ice cream go to Flamingo Crossing which has real home made ice cream and can't be beat.
Mike:)
LOL!!! Mike, you are the best!:D

I think Legal Seafood is good but pricey and overrated. I would recommend the No Name Restaurant instead. Not as fancy but still a great place to eat.
Everyone has an opinion. I think the No Name is overated. No atmosphere, not clean, and I don't think the food is that good, mostly fried options.
Yes, Legal's is kind of pricey but the food and the quality is top notch. And you can't beat the view and atmosphere at the Harborside location.
JMHO

Very close to the terminal is a complex of restaurants and bars. It is only about a mile or so. The "flagship" Legal Seafoods is located here along with a few other very good restaurants. It is called "Harborside" as it was the former home of a now gone restaurant called "Jimmy's Harborside" which was a Boston icon for many years. LOL, at the end the food was terrible though!
Legal's has three levels, right on the water. The top level is the bar with opening roof and fantastic views. Lot's of fun!
-
They used to have it at the adjacent side bar to the Martini Bar but as I think of it the last couple of "S" class cruises I did not notice it. They may have stopped it as I think they had much activity.
LOL, now that I'm thinking about it I'm craving it!

Having been to Bar Harbour many times I can tell you it is a wonderful port. Do NOT miss a trip up Cadillac Mountain to see the breathtaking views. And be sure to have some Lobstaaah!:D
-
Please please please; for your sake, do not miss the view from the top of Cadillac Mountain. It is breathtaking.
-
I was on Silhouette in late January. I didn't notice anything. I wonder when it started?
Port Charlotte?? We're in South Gulf Cove.

All this rhetoric for a crappy free small cake and 5 people singing to you? OMG:rolleyes: For Gods Sake, make your own fun and celebration as opposed to sitting on your butt assuming others will do it for you. Maybe it was time to open the wallet for the Maitre'D or Server and make it happen. Sorry to be blunt but it is what it is.
And you had a celebration before the cruise on your actual date?
And, LOL, EW, stop picking on AAA!:D

We had friends who just a few months ago did the Tulum tour from their stop in Cozumel. The absolutely hated it! Of course everyone is different but just some FYI to consider.
Is this possible from cabin steward
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted · Edited by emcee207
Good thing he didn't tell me that. next call would of been to the Housekeeping Manager demanding a new cabin attendent.
As someone else mentioned, it is a common request. This attendant was just lazy.
