  1. Princess also cancelled the cruise for non-casino booking too.
  2. I just received an email from Princess. our November 13, 2022 Sea of Cortez sailing out of San Diego has been cancelled. Below is the email: Dear our valued guest, Over the past year we have operated hundreds of cruises thanks to the tens of thousands of our Princess team members that have rejoined our fleet to deliver exceptional Princess vacations. However, like others in the global travel industry we have experienced some labor challenges. With rising occupancy levels on the ships that have already returned to service and our commitment to guarantee the Princess experience is exceptional, Princess has made the difficult decision to cancel a limited number of voyages on the Diamond Princess beginning September 1 through November 13, 2022, which regrettably includes your cruise. Click here ❯ for the full details. We are offering you three options to choose from regarding your cancelled booking: Option 1: Transfer to an equivalent cruise and get $100 onboard spending money per person to spend on the rebooked cruise. We will rebook you, and your cruise fare, incentives and promotions will all be protected. Your new booking will be in the same or equivalent stateroom category, subject to availability. Please Click here ❯ to see your replacement cruise options. Princess pre- or post-cruise transfers between the airport and the pier will transfer to your new booking. Other non-cruise-fare purchases through Princess, such as Princess EZair, shore excursions, specialty dining, spa or gifts will be refunded to the original form of payment. Option 2: Future Cruise Credit and $100 onboard spending money per person. Sail with us again by accepting a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) offer of 100% value of cruise fare paid as a refundable FCC, plus $100 onboard spending money per person to go with your future sailing. This gives our team a chance to shine at a later date by using the FCC on any voyage booked by and sailed by December 31, 2023. FCC may be used as a deposit, for your cruise fare, for taxes, fees and port expenses, or for optional programs or services. You may apply FCCs for yourself or other guests on the same booking. Please see the full terms & conditions ❯ Money paid to Princess in excess of the cruise fare for Princess Vacation Protection, taxes, fees and port expenses, EZair or hotel packages will be refunded to the original form of payment, as will any prepaid shore excursions and/or special service items. Option 3: Refund of all monies paid. Money will be refunded to the original method of payment. Let us know your choice by completing this online form ❯ before September 8, 2022. The form will give you the option to transfer to a replacement cruise, receive a Future Cruise Credit, or request a full refund of all monies paid. If a request is not received by this date, you will automatically receive the Future Cruise Credit option with the $100 onboard spending money. If any portion of your travel was not booked through Princess Cruises, other booking and cancellation conditions and policies may apply. Please work directly with those operators regarding their charges. Please note that due to the significant volume of bookings impacted by these changes, we ask for your patience in affording us the time to work through processing rebookings, refunds and FCCs. We are working hard to make sure every booking is handled efficiently. Please allow us the necessary time to process your new booking accurately. We hope to welcome you on board a Princess cruise soon, and we thank you for your continued understanding and support. Sincerely, John Padgett President
  3. Yes, our flight was refunded to our credit card, which I was very surprised. The enroute rep stated it everything (cruise, flight and port fees/taxes) would all be posted to my Princess account as FCC. The port fees/taxes were also credited to our credit card, so only the cruise portion was posted as FCC.
  4. I did call the 800-545-0008 number. The enroute desk answered, but the rep stated E-Z Air department was closed.
  5. I tried the "Chat" feature. They could not help, had to talk to Customer Resolutions
  6. This was our third time trying to cruise to Norway and Iceland. We are staying closer to home, next cruise to Alaska. Hope you have a wonderful cruise, smooth sailing all the way.
  7. I am excited today. Our airfare refund and FCC posted yesterday (refunded 100%) Last June, we left home 3 days before our cruise. Our first flight on AA was delayed, then cancelled . AA rebooked us on BA for the following evening. We spent the night close to the airport, arrived the next evening only to find out that BA flight from LHR was diverted to Canada,. We were given an estimated flight departure 25 hours later, but BA did not offer hotel accommodation. I immediately called the Princess Enroute 800 number, only to be told by the rep that E-Z Air department was closed, and he does not have access to book a flight, to call back next morning at 8 am. (this would 1 day before ship's departure). At 8 am, I dialed the E-Z Air department. It took over 3 hours for them to answer! Of course, by then, the probability of us finding a flight to LHR was almost zero. The E-Z Air rep searched, said "nope, no seats available to LHR to arrive before 1 pm on Sunday." I asked if there is a possibility of flying to next port of call. She answered "no". I spent Sunday (the day we were to board the ship) compiling papers, composing the email and sent them off to consumerrelations@princesscruises.com. I told myself I will give Princess 30 days to respond. On the 35th day, I decided to call Princess at 6 am. After 10 minute hold, I was connected to a Princess rep. I explained my situation, she placed me on hold for 30 minutes, then disconnected the line. I called back, was placed on hold for 55 minutes. Explain the situation again to the second rep. She transferred me to customer resolutions dept. I was on hold for 1.5 hour. By this time, I told myself, I'm not giving up. After a total of 4 hours, the resolution rep stated she didn't want me to be on hold any longer, she was waiting for E-Z Air to pick up the phone. The rep promised me she will call back tomorrow or send an email. I did not receive a callback, or an email BUT, when I checked my Princess account,. To my surprise, I saw the FCC posting for the cruise (100%) and credits posted to our credit card for the E-Z Air flight (100%). It would have been nice if the rep called or email as she promised, but I'm happy with the results. If anyone is waiting over 30 days for a refund/FCC, give Princess a call (800-774-6237) and ask for Customer Resolutions. They open at 6 am Pacific time. Put your phone on speaker and be prepare to wait.
  8. No airport in Skjolden. Closest is Sognadal Airport which is 1.5 hours away. I checked on the flight. LAX to Copenhagen to Oslo to Sognadal, total 22 hours. The airfare was listed at $8500 per person (business class) one way, plus hotel stay, plus taxi fares. We may have taken the flight if offered.
  9. It will be a special cruise, celebrating your birthday, but also a cruise you will never forget. Enjoy!
  10. We went on this cruise in October, 2018, for 28 days, round trip from Los Angeles. Our cruise included Bora Bora and Moorea which were our two favorite ports. We had one of the largest CC roll call, with over 200 people attending the first meeting. On a longer voyages you really get to know your fellow cruisers. Many of them were seasoned travelers. I loved listening to their adventures to exotic locations. We had the best tablemates, who we still keep in contact. Different activities are plan to fit the cruise, like crossing the equator event, even received certificate from Princess. You will love your cruise. It's an adventure you will not forget.
  11. E-Z Air did not offer flight to next port of call which was Skjolden, Norway two days later.
  12. Yes, you are absolutely correct. But, when E-Z Air is closed and Princess Enroute cannot get access to available flights, what are you supposed to do? In my case, I was told to call back the next day. I knew then, the chances of us making the cruise was very very slim. We allowed 2+ days to board, but it wasn't enough.
  13. Thank you for doing this. We are looking at doing the same cruisetour next September.
  14. Our experience happened two weeks ago. Our flight situation: E-Z air flight was cancelled, then rebooked on a co-shared airline 26 hours later. The second flight was delayed another 24 hours. We would have arrived in LHR at 1 pm, with ship leaving Southampton at 4 pm (it takes 2 hours to get to Southampton). I called Princess Enroute department. The rep stated they will have Princess rep meet us at LHR and provide transportation to Southampton. He also stated seats were aailable on UA, arriving LHR 11:30 am., but E-Z Air Dept. was closed, to call back next day at 8 am. Called at 8:01 am (this is Friday, ship sailing on Saturday), on hold for 3 hours, the UA seats were already taken. WHY HAVE AN ENROUTE DEPARTMENT OPENED, BUT E-Z AIR DEPARTMENT CLOSED, DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. I could have booked 3 business class tickets on UA, paying $10,000 in hope of reimbursement from Princess. (not likely) After being at the airport two days, 12 hours total, we were not interested in forking out the additional money, the trip was not that important. The only peace of mind is the fact that Princess will issue us FCC in the full amount (cruise + airfare). Hopefully, we will have time to use it in 2023.
  15. In my situation, we rebooked with a different airline. That airline had a delay of 22 hours, we would barely make it to the ship. Actually, the flight was delayed for 26 hours, landed in LHR at 3:45 pm on Saturday. I contacted Princess Enroute department. After on hold for one hour, the rep said that there are seats available on UA, leaving Friday at 5 pm, arriving LHR 11 am. Princess will guarantee someone meeting us at the airport for shuttle to Southampton, the ship will wait for us. Sounded great, only problem, E-Z Air department (I think they are located in the East Coast) was CLOSED (6 pm in Los Angeles), call back 8 am on Friday (the ship was leaving Saturday). I called back Friday at 8:01 am, on hold for THREE HOURS! By then, the UA seats were already taken. Logically, you would think that Princess would have E-Z Air department opened 24 hours. What's the use having an Enroute department, if the air department is closed.
  16. Our first flight to LHR was first delayed 4 hours, then cancelled. Rebooked on another airline leaving the following day. Spent overnight at a hotel in L.A. We always pack a carryon bag with change of clothes, cell phone chargers, toiletries, and an ipad. 2nd flight delayed 22 hours due to plane from LHR diverting to Canada, then delayed additional 4 hours. By the time we landed in LHR, the ship would have sailed. Needless to say, we thought allowing 2+ full days to arrive in LHR would be enough, it wasn't. We started planning for this vacation over 2 years ago, but ended sadly. I can't even think of planning another vacation right now.
  17. At first we thought of taking the 3:30 pm flight out of LAX, but Princess requires a Covid test before boarding the ship. We wanted to take the test here in the US before boarding the flight (just in case of positive result),. We also needed 2 hrs drive time, plus 3 hrs to check in at LAX (2 live in San Diego, 1 live in Camarillo) so we made reservation on the later 6:35 pm flight. I would make sure there are later flights available if your flight is cancelled. We did have the option of flying LAX-FLL-PHL-LHR, total flight time 26 hours in Economy when we were booked in business class. My children said "no". Good luck on your flight.
  18. No, I would not take the chance. We recently missed our cruise out of Southampton due to TWO airline delay/cancellations. We were to leave LAX on 6/22, flight delayed due to mechanical problem, then cancellation due to no crew. Rebooked on another airline, spent the night in a hotel. Next day (22 hours later) our flight coming from LHR diverted to Canada for medical emergency. Second flight delayed 28 hours, leaving LAX 9 pm. Now it's 6/24 and our ship is due to leave on 6/25. Needless to say, there was no way we could make it on board. What are the chances of missing two flights in a row? This cruise was planned for two years, delayed graduation present for my son. At least you are traveling in the U.S. I would still give yourself two days. Lot easier on your nerves.
  19. Our AA flight from LAX to LHR was cancelled and was rebooked on BA. The BA flight coming from LHR had medical emergency and diverted to Canada. BA texted us stating our flight has been delayed overnight, and will leave 28 hours after our original time. I contacted Princess E-Z Air but they were not unable to locate three seats from LAX to LHR on any airlines to make it to the ship. Both the cruise and airfare were paid with a credit card. When I file for reimbursement, will Princess apply the credit to my original credit card? The Princess rep said to ask for "refund". I do not want a FCC because my children will not be able to travel next year due to their work schedule/school commitment. I do have an opinion of filing a claim with my credit card company.
  20. We are flying into LHR, Terminal 5 at 1:15 pm on Thursday. Is it possible to clear custom and immigration in 90 minutes to board National Express bus to Central London?
  21. We will be boarding the Sky Princess on June 25th at QEII Terminal. We will be taking National Express to Southampton. Anyone have an approximate cost of the taxi fare from Southampton Coach Station to QEII Terminal? Do taxis accept credit card payment?
