  1. I enjoy going to the dining room as a solo diner. I enjoy chatting with the wait staff they are also so friendly and sweet. Sharing a table is ok but I got stuck with a couple of overly zealous religious people on my last cruise and that made for a very long dinner.

I had a two hour lunch with a similar pair in March. Made me leery of sharing again.

  2. I will be on the Jade..........a last minute booking! Anyone else?

no, the following week on the Gem, they had a 50% solo subsidy. Or surcharge , whichever way you want to look at it. But I didn't have to pay double. Looking forward to sailing out of New York City. It will be beautiful!

  3. hello! Anyone else out there? ;)

    Hi Disfan,

Maybe we are all working really hard so that we can go on this cruise. Welcome aboard, i know i just finished 6 days of 12 hour shifts, and am still trying to put together the updated meet and greet list and slot pull list. Hope everyone is doing well, and are really excited, i know some of you got $100 casino credit. others got two "free at sea promotions" some just drastically discounted fairs, and some of us have been waiting a long time for this cruise, and paid a more normal price, BUT we will all have a fantastic time I am looking forward to meeting all of you. I haven't gotten an answer about an Entourage person to meet with our teens, but my experience is the special events person seeks me out pretty soon upon my arrival, so i will be able to speak with him or her about it.

  4. Anyone else braving a Spring Break cruise solo? :) I'm sailing on the Norwegian Escape March 12th--looking forward to my first solo cruise.

Enjoy the big ship!! I'm doing the Gem on March 12 solo. so same time, different ship. maybe next time we will meet.

  5. Norwegian Sun, Vancouver to Seward, May 30 to June 6. First solo cruise AND first Alaska trip!

I did that trip last year, The Sun is amazing, i really liked it. very different from the other NCL ships, smaller ship, bigger staterooms and a fantastic crew. Alaska is gorgeous. Enjoy yourself.

  7. Hello, I've only done traditional cruises, so far. I will be on the Melissa Etheridge Cruise that leaves next Halloween, so hoping there will be a large lesbian contingent on board. For the price, I could have done an Olivia cruise, but my friend wanted this one. My partner doesn't like ships, so I have to go with our children or with friends. I certainly don't have a bikini body . . I'm lucky I can walk the length of the ship actually. But look forward to meeting more P.L. US on cruise critic.

  8. Whoops I posted on the wrong board earlier. Looking for others traveling on this cruise. I am looking forward to a warm break in mid March. Looking for others LGBT travelers to meet up with. Perhaps a meet and greet, perhaps dinner as a group, whatever makes sense. I will be traveling with my daughter as her other mom hates cruising.

  9. I hear the roll calls for this site are all messed up. But I thought I would try anyway. Looking for fellow travelers on this cruise. I plan to cruise with my young adult lesbian daughter. She grew up with two moms, so it's not a PFLAG type thing, Just wandering if either of us will have cohorts to spend some time with, do a meet and greet?? enjoy some meals together.
