  1. Teasterfamily posted that all already booked will be assigned Royal Suite class. Yet, the post does not mention such a class: only Sea, Sky and Star classes. Does anyone have knowlegde of what those of us already booked in suites and JS's will actually get?

Royal Suite Class is the name of the new rollout with 3 tiers; Star, Sky, and Sea.... maybe we might know today about how categorized after that event.... i know starting september 8, is when you can start booking for suite class or something like that...september 8 is a date she threw out at me, which didnt matter since i was already booked...sorry cant remember exactly what she said about that date.

  2. I havent found anything online about it actually yet, only just what the rep told me. Maybe will see something posted after presentation at event in vegas. I just lucked into finding out... the girl had just gotten email from corporate this morning, she said email was sent saturday, but she didnt work weekends... so very new info

  3. OMG... I can hardly contain myself... i just got off the phone with RC .... was trying to get some information on our Jan 7, 2017 sailing and I got information that she had just gotten on the NEW "Royal Suite Class" rollout...this is what i found out... it is ONLY for Quantam & Oasis Class Sailings. SNEAK PEAK is today and being abnounced at the Virtuoso Event in Las Vegas today!

    There are 3 classes;

Star class: Royal Loft, Owners Loft, Presidential Family, Grand Loft, Sky Loft, 2 bedroom Aqua Suite.

Skyclass: Aqua theatre suite 1 bedroom, crown loft suite, Owners suite, Royal Family Suite, superior Grand Suite, Grand suite

Sea class: Family connected junior suite, family suite, Jr. Suite, Spa Juniir Suite

The new suite class starts from May 2016 sailings, but again only on quantam and Oasis class ships.

Anyone already booked in these categories will be in "Royal Suite Class"

SOME of the things that will be included, mores specifics will soon come, are, and depending on which class will be different... gratuities, internet, beverage options, upgraded stateroom features; in stateroom bedroom service, complimentary Royal Genie Service (butler)

So, Im very excited because we are booked in our first suite ever; aquatheatre suite, which is in star class... How lucky can we be :) :) :)! Im so excited!!!!!

  4. Yes, on the Oasis in March. There was hot food but it was all buffet style. We were only there for a couple of hours until drill. Then we hosted a cocktail party in our cabin. RCCL did an outstanding job of hosting us and the cost was very reasonable. We had a family group of 15 and had tons of food and drinks for two hours during sail away. It was fantastic. RCCL out did themselves on this event.

I would like to know more about what royal does when you host a party in your suite... Would you mind sharing the cost here?

  5. Thanks Mark....... i would love to hear all about your cruise wedding :)! I love the tshirt idea, might have to steal that. What all did you guys do to make it even more special than already is? Guess we are way off topic here, if we need you can message me on facebook and discuss.... would really like to pick your brain on some details...

  6. At what point in the cruise were you planning on doing the ceremony? Assuming you want all to be legally recognized in the U.S., you would have to perform the ceremony while docked in a U.S. port with that state's license already procured. It becomes more challenging if you want to be married at sea, thus the cruise line's ability to charge an arm and a leg. We just got married in April on Adventure and we had looked into obtaining our own licence from the Bahamas and a properly certified officiant (again the Bahamas since all royal boats are flagged their). In the end we paid the cruise line. Congratulations and good luck with the planning!

Oh and you have to do shirts for the your group. The whole group wore their's on embarkation and we (particularly the bride) were practically celebrities for the entire cruise.

Actually we are not sure at what point yet we will marry, but we do not have to get married in US port for it to be legal. We just need to obtain a license by where ever the minister is ordained and can marry anywhere at sea or on land. Of. Ourse not all.states are the same... but this is how it is for.arkanss and texs.

  7. Just a thought but... if a friend or family member is going with you they can get ordained online. It's legal and it makes it special to include someone close to you in your vows

    Congrats!

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Forums mobile app

Yes, we have thot about that, thank you. , however wanted to see if we could find someone on our roll.cll possibly, no luck as of yet.

  8. Thanks Karmacats.... Well they charge out the kazoo and you get very little in return, so we are looking to get married on the deck of our aqua suite 😀! And I just put the word out to see if there is an ordained minister on our roll call that might be interested in marrying us..... It's about 5k for not much and we have both been married before so would rather spend money like that on the honeymoon ;)

  9. Thanks for the replies thus far... Loved the pictures :)... Anybody have any suggestions on decor I could use out on the deck for a sunset wedding? I know someone out there has to be more creative than I on how to make that space beautiful for a short ceremony on the suite deck

  10. Hello everyone :)...

For the first time myself and my family will be in a suite aboard the January 7, 2017 sailing on the Harmony! I'm so excited, about this... I have some questions.... I am one of those people that looks into the small details to make an adventure even more fun and or surprising. What are some things you have taken advantage of doing in your suite, could be anything, small or big. My kids, who are all older are also very excited.... What are some things I could add to our already unique experience to cruising in a suite? What are some special things you have had delivered to your suite? Any and everything is welcome! I might also mention that there is a very good chance I'll be getting married on this particular cruise on our aquatheatre suite balcony... I've never been in any suite bit particularly interested in what I could do to make that magic day more special... Any decorating ideas, it know someone on here has got to be more creative than I... Was thinking about battery operated flickering candles, battery operated strands of lights....I just want to be flooded with ideas :)! So, while we are waiting to hear about the new roll outs this could be a great venue to get some great ideas.....also, what if you didn't want to have one of the plain Jane cakes on board for a birthday or wedding ceremony..what are your options? Many questions...

    Thanks, Stacey

    Suite Lounge

Guests staying in Grand Suite-level rooms and higher enjoy access to this lounge serving complimentary continental breakfast and evening drinks.

The SL is open all day by the way

Thanks for taking the time to send me the links... I have seen these two.... seems like many things people are talking about with the Harmony and I don't see where they get it all.... What is available in the SL during the day?

  12. Just booked on Harmony for Sept next year. Got a reasonable price that included drinks package, plus a bit of extra discount from TA. There are 6 of us going so we may give the drinks package lots of use. :)

Apparently the Harmony is very similar to the Allure so have a look at her for an idea of what to expect.

WOW! Included drink package? May I ask when you booked... I looked at this everyday for a week and then booked last night and no one ever mentioned a drink package....

  13. Cruise Critic has a price drop page:

I was waiting and hoping you would chime in Bob... Funny, I've never met you but feel like I have... Thanks for the info.... I know you have lots of cruising experience... This is our first time even in a suite and we are on cloud 9. We will be in the Royal Family? Whats the suite life like? I know cruisers have all kinds of tips and tidbits on suites but I am clueless on w here to find it

  14. I have that cruise on my watch list. The cruises that week are great deals as the kids (at least in Ontario) are out of school. I am currently booked on the 6 day Freedom $2500 CDN for 2 cabins but if the Harmony drops in price I will change to her.

How do you get on that watch list for price drops...

we are booked but if price drops any we can get that price :)

  15. Is there a place rather than the RCI site where others have been in suites on the OASIS class ships that share what suites look like and perks they get? Staying in first Suite, Royal Family Suite and just interested... I didn't know if there was a seperate suite blog or anything.

    Thanks, Stacey

  16. Last night I just booked our family on Harmony of the Seas for December 17, 2016 sailing our of Ft. Lauderdale.... So very excited, it was more reasonable than I thought and was told it was because it came back on Christmas eve, but it was so reasonable that we got a Royal Family Suite... the very same suite the very next week is over 11K MORE! First SUITE and on an AWESOME amazing new ship! Would love to chat with others sailing on her before of with me.. She goes in the water in June 2016 in Europe... very exciting, but wishing could gather info like on other ships... guess I'll have to learn patience!
