  1. This is a good question as I've been wondering as well. I've assumed since I haven't read any warnings, etc....that, for example to be out walking to restaurants from our hotel in the earlier evening hours (before 10pm), there should be no problem? We will be out and around a bit in September, so I've been curious too. We would not do anything stupid or go in deserted areas - as you shouldn't in most any city. Another question to you locals if you don't mind me asking - in mid September, around what time does it get dark?

  2. As the others have mentioned, I, too, find that you typically get so much more out of a semi private group tour. I am about to go on my 2nd Mediterannean cruise, and we've done private/semi private adventures in almost every port. I did one ship's one in Malta (and wished I had looked otherwise - it was ok, but just too many people and not personalized at all). This time, I am taking the ship's tour from Livorno to Cinque Terre in Italy because it is a long day and can be tricky getting it all done and back in time on your own. I don't want to risk it. I did Venice, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Katakolon(olympia), Corfu, Malta and Rome last time if you want any info on those ports.

  3. For months, I have been trying to contact the 2 Jeep safari companies in Ibiza for the same. One finally got back to me and suggested I wait until August when he may have some more finite details for me to book something. I'm STILL waiting, and I sent a reminder a couple days ago.... My cruise is next month, and I'd kind of like to know what I'm doing during my 2 days in Ibiza. Neither company has been good at responding.

  4. Does anyone know if non-alcoholic premium package includes canned soda or fountain soda? It is not stated on X website. If they still provide canned sodas on the premium non-alcoholic package, since I don't drink alcohol, maybe I will just go to guest services to try to swap my classic alcoholic package for premium non-alcoholic package.

This is the description of the Premium non alcohol package in my cruise package - $22USD per day..."Enjoy nearly our entire selection of sodas selections on board including all canned and fountain soft drinks from Coca-Cola, premium bottled water from Evian, Perrier and San Pellegrino, specialty coffees and teas, non-alcoholic frozen drinks and smoothies, Red Bull Energy Drink and specialty waters from Vitamin Water. Price shown is per person, per day."

  5. Cruise is five weeks away and reservation says luggage tags are not yet available. Is anyone else having any problems with where to find and print their tags. I know there is still plenty of time but I am not sure if it's just one of the many website problems or if I'm not in the right place to find and print the tags.

We are the same - only 50 days out, and the website (when I can actually get in) says luggage tags are not available yet. I have my Express pass, etc.

  6. https://secure.celebritycruises.com/celebrity/media/celebrity/shared_assets/pdf/Classic-Premium-Bev-Pckgs.pdf You can pretty well get any regular cocktail made with the included spirits in my experience. I have seen the cocktail list, but it doesn't really say many on it. Once in a while, the drink of the day wouldn't be included, but you can just get something similar with the included brands usually. I have a pic of the Standard Pkg cocktails, and they would be included as well on Classic. It's most all basic cocktails.
  7. The Op didn't want too acidic so that rules out Sauvignon Blanc and should rule out liking Pinot Grigio so maybe it's not acid that you don't like. If you have the package try a few things.

Hey Cruise Junky - Are there some types of white wine that aren't typically as acidic? It's a heartburn thing with me - too much citrus kills me as well. With wines, I figured maybe higher quality ones were better for that than others. But I have had cheap ones that seem to be okay??? lol

  8. I am by no means a fussy wine drinker, but I do like a couple glasses of white with dinner that would be included in my Classic Package- a lighter wine that is not very sweet or too acidic. (I like Pinot Grigio and do not care for Chardonnay typically). I'm just wondering if anyone who has been dining in the MDR lately would have any recommendations that I should ask for? I will be on Silhouette. This isn't a big deal, but I just thought someone may have some tried and true good ones for me to try :) Thanks!

  9. I did it on Friday after having the heads up from this thread.

I had the Classic package for $27.00 which was more than 50%.

Those of us lucky enough to have seen those prices now believe it was a glitch on the Celebrity web site, as it returned to a 20% discount the next day.

I wondered if the 50% off one may have been a glitch :) Lucky for some of you that you booked it when you did!!! :) :) I'm also glad I spotted the discounts the day before they publicized it because the website was not too busy then. I'm hearing a lot of people had website issues the next two days once the sale was "out" to the public.

  10. I couldn't see any on our next two cruises! Are they flagged up on the website? (The cruises are in July 2017 and August 2018)

I would think your July cruise should have some offers? I haven't seen a list that specifies which cruises qualify. Our September cruise has several reduced prices on excursions and 20% off alcohol drink packages and internet and 8 dinners package. When you go in to your cruise planner, the discounted items have an orange color sale over the applicable ones, and the discount is reflected. There is at least one transatlantic in October where people are getting 50% off their alcohol drink packages - sweet deal!

  11. Now here's a question.....if your cruise came with the classic beverage package as a perk and you wanted to upgrade to premium, would they use the price of the 'old' classic to calculate the upgrade or the price of the 'sale' price? It might be worth a call to see as it would certainly make for a cheap upgrade if they used the 'old' price!!!

lol - I was wondering that too - because that would make it cheaper than the "upgrade" price with the sale one.

  12. CEL started a 72 hour sale again yesterday. I've been watching for months this is the 3rd 72 hour sale we have had for our sailing in June, non alcoholic packages have still not been on sale, I dont think they ever are.

Darn - My daughter will probably just wait and buy her non alcohol package on board then - Don't think there's any advantage to buying it early.
