    Because some embarkation ports simply don’t check. Athens is a great example. You go through security and then there is a duty free store before you board ship. Crazy!

    Is there a direst train that goes from Trieste to Rome airport or Termini during the day? We are planning to get off the Oosterdam around 9 am. Is it best to rent a car a car at airport or termini station ?

    Anybody stayed here and how did you like it? Looking for a hotel near train station as we want to go into Venice for one day and need to go to Trieste port the next. Any feedback or suggestion on another hotel you stayed at and loved are welcome. Budget 130 Euros per night.

    We have been to Venice many times that’s why I’m asking for a suggestion on hotel just outside of Venice. Agree it’s magical 😉

    We fly into Venice and are looking to find a hotel just outside of Venice for one night as we would like to visit but not stay there. Don’t want to lug luggage. Then take the train to Trieste the following morning to board the Oosterdam. Suggestions welcome. Thanks!
