  1. Since you asked for opinions I'll give you mine. If you are looking for quiet and relaxing, I'm not sure the Breakaway is right for you and definitely not that week.

The Breakaway certainly has spots that you can find quiet and relaxing but that is not really the overall vibe of the ship.

I am booked on the same trip and I was on the Breakaway this past year during the same week. I loved it and my family loved it but my general instinct tells me you would enjoy the Gem much more.

Since you were on it last year - for those of us traveling without kids - how much of an "issue" was it - especially for dinner and shows? Is there an adult pool?

  2. Now that the food in cabin issue has been resolved we are hoping that the next order of business is the room service charge.

One of the "perks" of cruising vs a hotel vacation is the inclusive concept. Many of us love the luxury of a delivery of morning coffee to our cabin, or that afternoon iced tea with snacks to enjoy.

For us - enjoying these things on our balcony is what we dream about on our non-cruising days. Why would NCL choose to nickle and dime away our room service?

If anyone has an idea before our Nov cruise on the Breakaway please share it! $7.95/delivery makes for a very expensive pitcher of iced tea!

  3. we reserved the comedy/improv shows once we got on the ship, I don't think you have the option to reserve this before the cruise. Availability will be there as the comedy club is large so just book it once you get on the ship, no worries.

I booked burn the floor and rock of ages a few months in advance b/c it was free and you can do it right through NCL.com

Where on the ship do you make the show reservations once on board? Thanks!
