We love Cruse Critic and love cruising. We are on a 4 night trip on QV from Southampton in November, Princess Grill. There’s lots of negativity on this thread and we’re huge Celebrity fans. We can’t get a drinks package as the voyage is too short. We love dressing for dinner, Evening Chic is on Celebrity but it lacks the glamour. What can we look forward to and be excited about on our Cunard cruise?

Drinks package! Only way, in my humble opinion. Posted this before but the look of shock watching a grown man nearly cry because of his bill on Eclipse many years ago convinced me never to pay drink by drink. We’re doing a short Cunard trip with no package and I’m already sweating! Lol

Sorry, should have said any suggestions? Are there any other packages available? I’ve only been able to find Captain and Commodore wine packages which seem to be a tad expensive.

We are Celebrity fans but thought we’d give Cunard a try. Unfortunately they only do drinks packages on 7 nights and longer which isn’t great for us. Can any of you Cunard buffs shed any light on this please? We were very excited about our 4 night sampler but it may turn out to be slightly more expensive than we’d planned!

We’ve recently booked a cruise on Queen Victoria in Princess Grill. Always been curious about the Grills so thought we’d take the plunge. As regular Celebrity guests we’re used to everything being online or more commonly the iPhone. To our surprise and delight we’ve just received a lovely envelope in the post with confirmation of our Cunard voyage on beautifully embossed paper. It’s like a wedding invitation! Does every Cunard guest receive this? This small gesture, albeit of a bye-gone era, has us both very excited. Well done Cunard!

I have just returned from the USA and looked at the prices for my cruise which I booked in the U.K. It was much more expensive so that may be the reason.

Thanks Jack. We can take unlimited drinks on board with us? That’s amazing as we live an hour from Southampton and will have a few bottles in our cabin. If we’re denied boarding because our suitcases clink too much can I blame you?

Just booked on my first Cunard cruise and am a tad surprised with the loyalty programme. Celebrity is our preferred line but she wants to try Cunard so we’ve gone for a basic Grille Suite. Celebrity offer a lot if you’re a regular (drinks package, laundry, hefty discounts, etc) but the Cunard offering seems to be a tad miserly. Can you regular Cunard cruisers enlighten me please and what can we look forward to? Also……. is the Cunard drinks package any good?
