Too bad you two aren't onboard as well. Then we'd REALLY be in trouble! 😜🥂

How True. Unfortunately, since my cruising money  comes from snow plowing, I can't cruise between December and mid-to-late March.

We've done the Full Transit (Left Coast to Right Coast) once and the Partial Transit twice. All those however, were through the Original Locks. Some day we'll go for the New Ones. You are going to want to move about the ship as much as possible while transiting the Locks. Besides observing things from the outside, go down to the Good Spirits at Sea Bar next to the International Cafe and watch out the windows as you are changing elevations in the Locks. It's kinda neat as the land around you appears or disappears.

    HAPPY CRUISING ! ! ! !

  2. We just vacated that exact cabin last Saturday. (11/5/22). The majority of that area going towards the bow is a blank wall. About 35 feet towards the stern is a crew storage area for linens and other assorted items for the room stewards to replenish their carts. It is an extremely quiet section. The only "noise" we really encountered was the occasional kids running down the hallways. Even when they were collecting the luggage on the final night, you could barely hear anything.

IMO I thought it was a great cabin and location. I definitely enjoyed the spacious balcony.

It was extremely emotional for us too. By the way I spoke to Elaine last night on the phone. She told me that the cruise was one of the best things she ever did. She came back home happy and refreshed. She is ready to book another. It's great to see how cruising can transform somebody. That's why we cruise.

Do you think there could be a chance of her being interested in the Bella Cruise ??

And not pictured Three Lobster Tail and Four Lobster Tail. Yes I was a pig. I normally don’t eat that much but in a effort to give you an accurate reporting. Yes!  you can have as many tails as you want. I’ve heard of people eating 6-8 tails no problem.

I generally do 3 or 4 Lobster Tails without all the extras on the plate. No sense wasting those items. One time, (and one time only),  my record was 9. I was definitely a pig.

Some of your pictures are looking very pixelated on my screen.  Not sure if that's specific to me or if others are seeing the same. I'm wondering if CC is doing some weird compressing when you upload.

I'm getting the same pixelation also.

I have been downsizing on someone's recommendation.   Thanks for letting me know.  What size screen are you looking on.  Let me try one not so downsized.

I''m on a 24" monitor. The ones you're showing now that aren't downsized are much clearer.

It's funny how people don't realize that Alaska Lines only has one set of tracks for all north and southbound traffic. The reason we were two hours late is that our passenger train had to pull off on a siding and wait for the freight traffic that had priority.

And do you recall seeing the smoke coming out of my ears sitting on that train while the minutes of the "Drink Package" were ticking away ???? LOL 🤣🍸🥤

Are you in port? I don't recall crew drills like that on any ship while sailing.

O.B., Even though Greg did say they were in port, I've been on cruises that conducted crew drills while we were underway. It helps sharpen their skills when they have to deal with "obstacles" and other things when you have a ship full of passengers.

Greg.......Glad to see that you're doing physical therapy. You don't want to have any stiffness in your shoulder. LOL 🥤🍸

  8. Finally caught up after being away for a couple of days.

Happy (belated) Anniversary to You & Linda. Was glad to hear you had the same excursion as Elaine and you were able to keep her company.

On 1 of our stingray excursions, we also had a handler that had his own "special girlfriend" named Michelle. He would pat the water with his hand and she would swim right up to him.
