  1. I agree with the idea of breaking your trip into 2 separate trips. Before covid we had an annual policy with 1Cover that covered something like a 60 day trip, but had a general exclusion for pandemics and epidemics. We also had insurance through our credit card that only covered 30 day trips and did not cover some preexisting health conditions. We had a trip of something like 38 days booked for March 2020 which involved cruising from Melbourne to Sydney, followed by 10 days on land in Newcastle, then cruising from Sydney to Honolulu before flying home to Melbourne. When covid started I worried what would happen if we caught covid during that trip. I called the credit card insurance company and checked with them about the 30 day limit. They agreed with my suggestion that we could get around that by breaking the trip into separate trips by returning home from Sydney for 1 night before the cruise to Hawaii. My husband thought it was crazy, but I booked a cheap return trip home for the night just to make sure that the insurance would be valid. Ended up all being rescheduled anyway when covid worsened and our Hawaii cruise was cancelled.
  2. We have taken school supplies to Mystery Island in the past. We just took them ashore and asked around for the lady who collects them there to distribute to the local schools.
  3. Are you certain that this domestic policy will cover you for medical onboard the ship and medical evacuation? I find their website a bit confusing. A read of their PDS states which sections are included under the Domestic Frequent Traveller - Sections 10, 12, 12A,12B,13,14,16 and 19. Cruise Pack adds Sections 20,21,22,23,24 and 25. Which of those sections do you think will cover medical and evacuation? Section 1 Emergency Medical Assistance and Section 2 Emergency Medical and Hospital Expenses both state “This cover applies to all plans, excluding Domestic and Domestic Frequent Traveller”.
  4. Thanks for the link. That was very interesting to watch. When do they arrive at the next lock?
  5. You do not know for certain which way they will dock at particular ports. Some maintenance like painting the exterior of the ship takes place in port, so if they want to work on a particular side of the ship they will sometimes dock the reverse way to usual.
  6. Just had my shareholder benefit applied for my 12th August Coral cruise and November Grand cruise. My 2 attempted emails to benefits@princesscruises.com.au on Saturday bounced back, so I emailed the info to shareholderbenefit@carnivalaustralia.com, who forwarded my email to princess. 4 days is very quick response!
