Thank you so much for your review and glad your husband is going to be OK, I did read about him on another post! We've decided against doing the Baths on our March trip because it's so short and because I have sciatica issues...probably not a good match!
Sorry you had to deal with the Yeshiva group....from my own personal experiences with them here in NJ, they are a very entitled people....very different from the Jewish people that I grew up with and worked with in Massachusetts, so i would NEVER lump them all together.
I think I have read about 5 reviews of this cruise so far and I'm wondering if any passengers confronted any of the Yeshiva families when they were behaving badly? I really don't think that I could sit back and watch it happen myself...

I'm almost 100% sure that there are not, we have an OV with 4 in the room and it looks like it's going to be pretty tight!

Thanks for the tips Maggie! I would LOVE to upgrade to a mini right now, but it's thousands more....50 days til our cruise, I'm going to keep checking, wish me luck!

I would like to know this as well....anyone?

yeah!! I hope it's still working when we cruise at the end of March! thanks for the update:)

Thanks for the pics!!!!!

If money was no object then a 2 bedroom suite would have been perfect! the price difference is about $6000!!!
Thanks for the pics! I guess you really do just sleep in the room on Norwegian!

Wow, that cot thing really stinks! But thanks for the pic. We've only done Carnival and they had bunk beds on the wall away from the pushed together beds.....ugh:(

We'll be sailing on the Gem out of NY in March and have booked an ocean view family stateroom for the 4 of us, parents and 2 kids, ages 8 & 10. I can't find any pics of the room with the berths down...and I only see one berth in the pics when it is up in the wall. Can anyone tell me where the other berth is? Or does anyone have any pics? Thanks so much!!! :)

Def. following this post...we are cruising out of Manhattan on a 10 day in March. The Hilton Garden in Ridgefield sounds like a great deal....

It's almost the same as the August promo...you get 4 different freebies to choose from...drinks, WiFi, dining, not sure about the last one

Do you have to get a Spa pass to use everything in the spa or just certain things? This will be our first time on Norwegian and we'll be taking a 10 day cruise, just thinking that the spa might be somewhere we'd like to go. Thanks!

We'll be on the Gem for Easter 2016..I was wondering about Easter as well. My daughter who is 7 now actually asked me just yesterday if the Easter bunny would be on the ship. :)

They had them on the Splendor last week!

Sailing on Splendor in 3 days!!! May 4th-12th. Balcony cabin 6316. Has anyone had that area? Also wondered if you can use parts of the spa w/out having to purchase a pass? We sailed on the Glory a few years back and they had a great hot tub area for our use. Thanks! :D

:) Thanks so much, I will keep trying!!!

Thought FTTF would be a good idea since reading the reviews so we wanted to book it. Well I know it's very late since we sail on 5/4, but it doesn't say Sold Out on the Carnival site....it just won't let me book it. Does anyone think that they will release more passes, or is it just wishful thinking? I also contacted my planner at Carnival and he said that it was probably too late...guess he couldn't do anything.

Thanks so much for your review and pics, you have a beautiful family! I hope you get to San Juan again and make it to the forts, they are really cool! We took our kids there last year, they were 4 and 7 and another time when they were 2 and 5, both times we stayed on island. Puerto Rico is really a beautiful place and the culture is interesting. We'll be in OSJ next Wed on the Splendor and can't wait! We'll have to try Punto de Vista!

Missing the boat! It was our honeymoon and there was a blizzard in Boston, missed our flight and then by the time we got to Ft. Lauderdale, we had missed the boat by about 30 mins! We had to pay extra to fly to Cozumel and the cruise line put us up at an all inclusive for 1 night. By the time we made it to the ship, we missed our excursions since we were still on our time, not on cruise time.

We're cruising with another family and currently have neighboring cabins...I know they have spa cabins available next to each other...wonder if they would give us a better deal if we booked both cabins?
-
Love the idea of quiet....I think that we may be in a noisy area in our balcony cabin. Decisions, decisions....
-
I did see that it was cheaper to just get a spa pass for the week....I was wondering if the location and amenities were that much better? Our kids will be enjoying Camp Carnival if that makes a difference. Was thinking we'd love to use some of the spa pools, etc.

$50 more per nite for a Cloud 9 spa balcony room. Currently we are booked midship balcony on the Upper deck, cat. 8. There will be 2 adults and 2 kids in our room. We leave on the Splendor May 4th. Also wondering if the price of the spa room may go down since we're so close to cruise time? Thanks for the info! :)

My Carnival Cruise planner told me that he was going to do something for me on my birthday...maybe even embarrass me, lol! Has anyone ever had anything special planned for them by a Carniva plannerl?? :D

I too would like some specifics on the kids club if anyone has any....we'll be on the Gem in March over Easter with kids 10, 9 & 8. Just wondering what kinds of activities and if they will do anything special for Easter. Thanks!
