  1. They let me bring one on board on Dec 4.  In the past they have blocked my suitcase and finally when it arrived, they had removed a 3 ft switched extension cord.  It did not have a circuit breaker, just a switch.  Eventually they returned it to me, about mid segment.

I can confirm that the visa in the old passport is still valid. I just took my husband’s old passport to Reception yesterday and they confirmed that everything is ok.

Thank you.  They told me the same at about the same time.  So at least they are consistent,  so far.  My fingers are still crossed that that answer does not change at the last minute.

On a related topic: is the exercise equipment still installed on the aft decks? I do not recall seeing it in recent photos.

I believe the exercise equipment on the aft decks was only on Symphony (OC).  So the answer to your question will probably be pending until we get observations/photos after Symphony's restart.

  4. Do you know if Hector Olivera's organ is still on board, and if so will they bring him back to play it?

Also, I am curious if they still have the piano keyboards, and if so will they bring back the piano lessons on the World Cruise?

Right now it's not an app.

Do you mean the information is not available for a phone or computer?  (I am specifically interested in an Android phone app and a Windows computer or generic website access.  iAnything does not provide any benefit to me.)

I use Nord. Not working on Moon

Have you tried turning Nord off until after you are connected to the wifi, and then turning it back on?  This worked for me on either Seabourn, Silversea, and/or Regent.  I think on two of them, but unfortunately I do not remember which ones.  Once I got Nord running in that way, it usually (but not always) did not block me signing back on to the wifi the next time.  Very odd.

You cannot have visitors on debarkation day.

Does that also mean not on embarkation day?  I would not want visitors on debarkation, but I would on embarkation.

This was sponsored by our Travel Agency so I cannot post it on CC due to the rules.  And the Q&A's are not to be posted either.

Does your TA still have the webinar and Q&A posted on their website?

Maybe someone who does understand what you mean can chime in with a reply?

I can't say I fully understand it, but I can say that I was able to receive calls but not make them on the Moon in May.  I had the included basic wifi package, T-Mobile, and my android phone was in airplane mode but set for wifi calling.

Thank you @canderson for explaining how the selective blocking is accomplished.  I wonder if the receiving and sending of calls are on separate ports?

  10. I suppose it is possible that he did not understand my question.  It would be nice if they would put the policy in writing.  Too late for us now, we disembarked without pur hasing the option.

The $1000 open booking is not lost after 6 months; it is refunded if you haven't selected a cruise.  Ofc you would have lost the opportunity for the onboard booking discount; perhaps that was the confusion.

That could be (and would make a lot more sense), but he very clear about it not being refunded because I asked twice. They did not make any written announcement of an open deposit option,  and he said they did not promote this.

  12. The future cruise consultant told me they do open bookings for $1000pp, and you lose that if you don't book within 6 months.

Then he said it was better to book something as far out as possible, which would have a lower deposit, and well over 6 months until final payment is due.  Then you can transfer the deposit to your preferred cruise before final payment.

  13. As several have mentioned, there are dining venues with a less formal dress code.  All of them require a reservation except the pizza place and room service.

Reservations can be very hard to come by, and you won't know the dress code schedule until the segment starts, probably too late to change dinner reservations unlesd you like to dine at 9pm.

We just did 2 segments on the Moon, and the online info before showed 2 formal nights per segment.  Only half of them were on the date announced beforehand.

  14. One of our suitcases was not delivered to our cabin. I'm 95% sure this was on Navigator.   When I went down just before we sailed to ask about it, they said it was held up in security.  Shortly after that, the suitcase was delivered, without our extension cord.  It was one with a switch and 3 outlets.  I don't think it has a circuit breaker, but it looks like a power strip with one.  Power strips with circuit breakers can cause big problems on a ship, so don't bring one of those.  They finally returned it to us several days later, after engineering decided it was safe.

  15. We are in 658 on Moon now, and have heard absolutely no sounds from Dolce Vita.  Bur our room is above the area in front of Reception, and I think most of the "noise" is generated at the forward end of the lounge.

And as for AmEx Platinum, be very sure you use only that card for absolutely every expense related to the trip, even for parts you don’t care about insuring

Is that also the case for Chase Sapphire Reserve?  I have seen people post about splitting the cost with two accounts (his and hers) to double the coverage limit.

Looks like there are  no more standard rooms on 8&9. All suites.

As I read the deck plan, there are at least a few standard size cabins on 7,8,9, and 10 on Serenity, and on 5,7,8, and 9 on Symphony.  It looks like only the top passenger cabin deck of each ship is 100% Suites.  What we don't know is whether all of the standard size cabins have had the bathtub removed, or only some of them.  If you take the current online cabin descriptions literally, none of the standard cabins will have bathtubs.  But the website is clearly a work in progress.
