If I remember correctly, a Miami Vice is 1/2 Pina Colada, 1/2 Rum Runner. It was one of my favorites on my two previous cruises!

Thank you, this is exactly the info I was looking for! We don't need fancy, so this sounds perfect. Have a great day, Kletina!

We are staying at the Lost Bayou Bed & Breakfast. They offer free parking at the Railroad Museum parking lot, which is walking distance to the pier. They had one of the best rates when I was booking and their reviews on TripAdvisor are very good.

Anyone ever been to Playa La Palapita Den Medio? I've read on a couple of Cozumel sites that it is really good for snorkeling and it is part way between town and the cruise pier (International). Just wondered if anyone has ever been there. We've decided we are not interested in an all-inclusive and want to go somewhere closer to town. When we are done we'd like to eat at a good restaurant in town (heard good things about Pancho's Backyard) and do a little shopping.

Thanks! I will check Guido's out!

I certainly hope I can sleep late on the sea days. Sleeping in for me at home is usually 7:30 or 8am!

Awesome! Thank you. We have been wondering. Cayman is our favorite so I want to spend as much time there as possible. So what did you do for breakfast before you went? Is it easier to do some room service or is the main dining room or the Windjammer open before 7am?

We are sailing in April and our itinerary is supposed to arrive in Cayman at 7am also. Do you know about what time they started the tendering process? We are doing our own thing as we have been there before, but I wasn't sure when we might be able to leave the ship. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a good seafood restaurant in Galveston? Prefereably something on the east side of the island (either the Strand or Seawall side is fine). We are staying at the Lost Bayou Guesthouse B&B the night before our cruise and would love to have some really great seafood.

We have done Eden Rock a couple of times. My husband has snorkeled most of his life and does not wear a lifevest. I do and most of my snorkeling consists of floating on top of the water with my mask & snorkel on (face in the water). I felt fairly comfortable out at Eden Rock with my lifevest. I don't think I would have without it. If people want to walk out, I have heard that Sunset house is nice. We usually go to Smith's Cove which is about 1-1 1/2 miles from town (the opposite direction of Seven Mile Beach, or to the right as you exit the pier). It is a nice cove with bathroom facilities, picnic tables and shade. It is easy to walk out and find a level of water you are comfortable with. My husband swims out farther and snorkels out near the reef and I stay where it is more shallow. It is generally not super crowded and many locals hang out there.

We regularly (once per school year) took our son out of school for 5-7 days from kindergarten through 5th grade without any issues. We only took him out for 3 days in 6th grade. This year (7th grade) we took him out for 6 days and it was difficult for him to get the work all done (before and after) and his tests scores suffered for it. The teachers were very helpful and understanding, but I don't think we will take him out for that long again. He even told me, "Mom, I think a week is too long to be gone from school." Very mature of him, though I will miss my fall vacations to San Diego and Disneyland! He said we aren't allowed to go without him :)

The only Cozumel beach I have been on is at Chankanaab Park. The beach there is fine, but not my favorite of all time, so, no expectations to live up to really.

I believe the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Park has a breeding program. There are quite a few of the Blue Iguanas there.

Are there any nice beaches near town? We want to go to the beach for a while, but I still want to do some shopping. We were/are thinking about Nachi Cocom, but it is the opposite direction from the International cruise terminial I believe. Any advice? We can go AI or not, doesn't really matter.

What would you suggest for someone that just wants to send a couple of emails each day? We aren't taking our son, but would like to stay in touch via email.

We are set to dock at 9am local time (on May 1). Does anyone know how long (typically) it will take us to get off the ship since we are not on an excursion? I don't really want to stand in line for a long time to exit the ship, but I want to arrive at Nachi earlier rather than later and have time to enjoy it, but I would also like some time to shop in town.
Also, isn't Nachi the opposite direction from the pier that town is? If so, how long does it take to get to town from Nachi? Thanks!

Thanks a bunch!

The gall of some people never ceases to amaze me. I'm glad you stood up for the people that were in the hot tub. I would have done the same. Thanks for the pictures. We sail in April and I am really looking forward to it!

So glad to see this post. My husband has CD, so it is nice to know these options are out there. Should we try to talk to someone in the main dining room once we board the ship?
Also, does anyone know if Izumi has any GF options for sushi/sashimi/nigiri? We thought about getting some for lunch one day.

Thank you for all of the pictures. More complete than the RCCL site, imo. We sail in April. So excited!

Does anyone have a current pricelist for the spa on the Navigator? I am specifically looking for the cost of a 50 minute Swedish massage and a facial (flexible on the type). I cannot access the spa menu on rccl.com from my computer for some reason. Any help you could provide would appreciated!
Thank you!

I think Nachi's website said it is $16, if I remember correctly. I could be a bit off though :) Probably depends on which cruise pier.

The Queen Elizabeth Botanical Park is very nice. Don't miss out seeing the Blue Iguanas. They are really cool. We did combine it with Pedro St James on a previous visit. Pedro St James is also a very neat site. When renting a car, just remember a little saying we use when we are there: Stay to the left, look to the right :)

We usually bring our own, just mask & snorkel for me, my husband uses flippers. We have picked some nice stuff up at Costco for a pretty good price before. Just a thought.
Spa Treatments: book in advance or upon boarding?

I am sailing on the Navigator at the end of April. I definitely want to book a massage and possibly a facial. My question is: is it better to book them in advance or wait until I am on board, maybe after touring the spa?
