It depends on your idea of luxury.

Cozumel is not known for big resorts with lots of fancy facilities.

Secrets aura is the only Adult - only I can think of but not sure I would consider luxury. There are higher class/priced resorts. There are boutique type resorts. There are more private  beach club areas. Is this just for a couple?

It depends what your idea of luxury is and what facilities are important to you.

Thank you. Yes, it is just for DH and I. I am looking for a higher end Day Pass Hotel/Resort. Activities are not necessary. Just a beautiful setting, good food, and drinks.

I made dining reservations for our 21 April cruise last night.  went to check them today and what I think  might be the days of the week are in a language I do not know.  (Might be Portuguese??  But WHY??)

Example - first day on the ship and we are booked for Polo it says "terça-feria abr.22".  This is bizarre !!!

That's Portuguese. Terça-feira is Tuesday April 22. Nothing bizarre at all.

  3. My reservation says Promotional Amenities US$200 OLife Choice Shipboard Credit per passenger. Withe that money instead of buying something at the stores or using at the Spa I would prefer to either buy the Prestige Package for one person only since my husband doesn't drink or pay for specialty restaurant.

Yes, MSC just assigns you a check in time. You do not get to pick it at check in like Carnival. This check in time also changed several times for my last cruise and was 2pm when my boarding documents were first sent and changed to 10:30am three days before my cruise. MSC also unlike Carnival pretty much ignores your check in time and you can show up whenever you like.

leaving tomorrow. My embarkation time was 10;30 am. Yesterday they changed to 2:00 pm. Does anyone know why?

  5.  On Chill Beach, the Cabanas are located next to the Beach Beds. They have a roof and walls and a "L" shape sofa. It looked pretty much the same as the Beach Beds but more expensive. They both had a cooler with water and water mats. We had 2 floats. I don't know how many floats for the Cabana. The night before you are asked to fill up your choices for lunch and what time you want to eat. Truthfully, I don't know what the perks are for the Cabana. I think in the Cabana you can seat several people and in the Beach Bed, 2 people can lie down on the queen size bed, and 2 people on the 2 lounge chaises. So basically 4 people. There is also a small table. I'm pretty sure the price is per cabana not per person.

  6. I booked a Beach Bed and was very happy. We had number 7, which was the last one. Very private and surrounded by nature. The bar was close by. They brought our lunch at the time we had asked for. It's basically a king size bed with a roof and curtains on the side "very Gatsby". No one in front of you, just the beach. Wear water shoes. The bottom is kind of slimy.
