We had dining reservations booked through January 2026 with no problems once App opened up first week of July.

Booked a new cruise this week and now getting same messages as a lot of previous posters. Unable to make dining reservations. We are Platinum. Called Princess and the made our reservable reservations for the whole week, but still can't reserve or cancel or make Specialty dining reservations in the app or the web version. Never had a problem and the app has always worked perfectly. I know they have had glitches on Friday.  My CVP said we didn't show Platinum and he also had to re-enter a lot of information. Any clues?

Got it all straightened out after calling Princess several times. They had to reset my profile.

I sail back to back cruises all the time with Princess. Here is how I handle the booking.

First - I use a TA. TAs usually have a few additional benefits like a little extra OBC. I would not try to do this alone on line. You can use a Princess Personal Cruise Planner which is basically like using a TA.

Second -  I almost always book as separate cruises. There is really very little downside and it provides more flexibility. Example, the fare for one of the legs may go down. I have four cruises booked B2B for this coming winter.

Third - Before I contact the TA I do my homework. I search the Princess site for each cruise. I look for cabins that I want and write down the cabin numbers. I make a list of the cabin numbers that match. Then when I contact the TA I mention that I wish to have the same cabin for each leg, and provide a list of acceptable cabins.

Once on board you will have a single folio for the entire time you are on board. It will feel like a single cruise. You did not mention where you plan to sail. No matter where it is, any turn around day requirements would be the same regardless if booked as a single booking number or separate booking numbers. In all cases your luggage remains in your cabin, and there is no disembark/re-embark process. There is an immigration requirement at US ports (Whitter excepted). In Europe and other countries it's basically just like any other port day.

Are you saying you will have a single Folio for both legs of a back to back? One Medallion for both cruises? And OBC combined for both bookings of a back to back? First back to back on Princess coming up in April.

Thank you! Asked them at the dessert counter once on Discovery and they didn't know. Do you know if you can get a slice of the cake instead also?

Should have read through all the posts. See it's been answered early on. 🤭

You don't have to have the speciality desserts, you can just order the gelato. Very nice it is too, much nicer than the ice cream in Swirls.

@OceanoPair thanks for the information. I have nothing for 2026 for Emerald P., but I will update what you have. Have a feeling some of the 2026 slots just haven’t been updated. It’s quite a ways from now ,but time will tell if it stays the same.

It is a long ways from now. We'll watch and see if our reservation changes at any point. We'll let you know on one of the two threads if they are still active that far out.

For some reason my App is showing both Michelangelo and Bottecelli as reservable every 20 minute time slots for our Jan 2026 Cruise. In fact we have Michelangelo reserved for 6:00pm every evening rather than Botticelli. Seems odd as your Dining schedule seems correct for 2024 & 2025.

Did as you all advised on Stockperks app.  Took less than a week.  OBC was hidden on website but did find it.  Will look for it on Princess app.

Have never seen Shareholder OBC on the App, only on the website. Not sure if it's there somewhere or not.

  9. Princess has been Reservable Dining in the MDR's for the last two years. Now they have added the option to return to Traditional for those that want it and Anytime for those who want to be more flexible.  I think Princess is doing a great job adding these options. Not sure what all the fuss is about. If worried about the show then Book Reservable Dining and dine when you want. If you're worried about the dining room choice then think back to when you booked Traditional Dining and they told you what dining room you had based on your cabin location. It's all about choices and thanks to Princess for doing that. The App works awesome for most and I would imagine most have already made their reservations. We have ours for reserved for 5 cruises through 2026 without a problem or complaint

@SmooshSmash. So do I have this incorrect for your November 2024 voyage on Discovery Princess?
The reason why Skagway says unavailable is because it is the walk-in restaurant -no reservations will be made.

Please correct -so I may have exactly which dining room is the traditional one and which one is the reservable every 20 minute one, thank you so much for your help.

I don’t have a deck plan in front of me so I don’t know which dining room is in the middle ,which ones in the aft etc. If you can help me out, I have a thread started ship by ship that I will correct.

this is currently what I have listed.

    Discovery Princess-2024 & 2025

    Ketchikan-Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm

Juneau-reservable every 20 minute slots ( shared & private table up & including 6:20pm and private table only 6:30 pm on)

Skagway- walk in & Reserve collection dining

    This is what we have:

    Discovery Princess-2024 & 2025

    Juneau-Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm

Ketchikan-reservable every 20 minute slots ( shared & private table up & including 6:20pm and private table only 6:30 pm on)

Skagway- walk in & Reserve collection dining

First dining room, nothing available, 2nd one, time slots every 20 minutes, 3rd one, time slots 5 and 7:30 PM,

The same with me, Nov 2024 Discovery. But the only dining room that was available every 20 mn was the one that is the most inconveniently located. The one you need to go up and down the stairs to get to, Ketchikan.

Skagway, nothing available and Juneau, only two time slots available 5 and 7:30.

So I had to book Ketchikan because I like to eat around 6:30.

There must be a reason for that identical setup but I really don't get that. Why make the dining room easiest to get to, hardest to reserve/or unavailable?

We like Ketchikan because of its location. Just a flight of stairs down from the Vista Lounge where we usually attend the nightly Platinum/Elite Happy Hour. We also like Ketchikan as it doesn't have the vibration like you find in the aft dining rooms on the Grand and Crown Class ships. You may have to try a few server teams to find a good one before you tell them you want the same area every night.

someone in a suite might like the traditional shared table dining so that does make sense. I guess it was too difficult for Princess IT to exclude the reservable option.

You're right. We even considered booking our normal reservable dining time for the whole 10 day cruise, but it would be in Botticelli and we've heard that there is a lot of vibration in that dining room on the Grand Princess.

When you say that you did this when the app opened up, what date exactly did you do this ?

Around July 2nd or 3rd. Started trying from Midnight July 1st, but it still took a while to get going. Make sure to have Android App Version 1.3.0-5004. Don't know about iPhone or web version. Android app works awesome. Best thing that ever happened to Princess.

  14. Was able to make Reservable same time each night reservations for Discovery(Nov/Dec 2024), Discovery(Mar/April 2025 B2B), and Emerald(Jan 2026) without any problems once the app  opened up. App worked flawlessly. Would suggest to anyone who wants Reservable same time every night to make them before Specialty Dining, so as not to have make day by day reservations around your Specialty Dining reservations. Not sure what would have happened if I had checked the "same time every night" box, but I didn't want to chance it. The only thing that puzzled me is the availability to book Traditional or Reservable on the Grand( Jan 2025) when we have Suite Dining. The old system would only allow Specialty Dining as we didn't have to make reservation being in a suite.

@latebloomer56 I don’t have DaVinci listed on The Grand, but I assume it is the walk in restaurant , just by deduction of what I have listed.

My guess would be all ships would hold reserve collection meals in traditional dining room, but no one that I have seen has posted this.

So yes,my guess on The Grand Princess is Michelangelo .

Time will tell for sure and if you have that type of cabin, I  would think that you would have something in your room that would tell you where “ your” DR is. But, since all this dining is new, who knows how it will actually play out.

no need to reserve any dining at all if you have reserve collection mini or full suite, except specialty restaurants.

reserve collection mini or full suite seems to be in the walk-in MDR's on Discovery(Skagway) and Grand(Da Vinci)

  17. Does anyone know what is the Traditional MDR on Emerald Princess? I'm assuming it's Botecelli, but I'm not seeing any dining times. It may be because I already booked anytime for our whole 2026 cruise, but nt sure. Didn't want to delete them all just to be able to see. Are all Traditional Dining times 5:00 and 7:30? Cruisedeckplans.com still shows 6:00 and 8:15.

  18. We booked anytime on Discovery Princess in Ketchikan. When we booked there were no times available for Skagway, so we assumed the was only for walk-in and Reserve Collection. Juneau looks like Traditional 5:00 and 7;30

  19. Still not working. Have deleted and reinstalled app also. Guess it's best to just wait for an email from Princess. No hurry. Just very interested to see what it looks like and how well it will work. For the most part the app has been an awesome experience.

  20. Once it opens for MDR reservations on July 1st(???) you should be able to make MDR reservations if you are paid in full or Platinum or Elite. If you are not I would try anyway after it opens up, We booked ours normally 2 years out before the change took place. In fact, when the change was made in April our 2025 & 2026 MDR reservations were cancelled, so we are just waiting to book them again. You should be able to book Specialty Dining anytime.
