  1. If you are using the actual cruise critic app, then I would highly recommend switching over and using Tapatalk as your app. The cruise critic app posts pictures at a ridiculously small size, and they are almost illegible if you actually try and look at them.... whereas the Tapatalk app usually posts quite amazing pictures.

  2. We were on the 8 day last week.

I have photos of all 8 menus and scans of all 8 Compasses.

It was the annual Armenian Heritage cruise so we were told there was some changes to the skating show because the Armenian group of over 900 people had rented the studio B for some of the nights.

I will try to post them.

Any chance you’d be willing to post those menus for us too?!? Thank you in advance!

  3. I was trying to talk the OP into them. We did a Royal sponsored catamaran there last time and we saw Calabazza and saw what a good time they were having, so I have them booked for May 3rd.

Sorry found it and booked it for April 27th! Hope you all are right about it being amazing! Lol

Hey Bill, you don’t happen to have a link for them would you?

  4. The muster drill was at 5:45pm both weeks we were on. No I do not have the names for the menus. They switched them up though between the 2 weeks and they told us they were new menus starting on January 14th. The dessert is now on the menu with the appetizer and main course so you order dessert in the beginning with everything else.

    Thanks for the info!

  5. The late departure from San Juan has been that way for as long as I remember. We first cruised from there in 2000. There are thousands of people flying from the mainland which takes much longer so that is the reason for the late departure. And also the islands are much closer together so don't take long to get from one to the other. Most ships stop at St. Thomas the first full day, but not all.

You seem to be very knowledgeable about this.... can I ask you if the ship leaves at 8 or 830, what time are you allowed to board until? When is the muster etc?

  6. Lighten up Francis. You're flaunting your tier level and now you've been busted on it. You drew the negative attention to yourself. Whether you want to admit it or not. Displaying it in your signature is your choice just like those electing to wear their tier level pin/badge around the ship or wherever. The point is why would anyone care or be annoyed by it. I can only imagine how you feel about those wearing their gold Seapass cards around their necks on lanyards.

I never once said I cared, or was annoyed by it [emoji849]

People can’t seem to let it go, and keep quoting posts so I’ll keep responding. [emoji3] Am I the one who’s bothered by the pins, or are the people who keep getting defensive about someone calling out tackiness bothered by it? To each there own, I guess.

  7. LOL...also perfect observation. [emoji3]

Yes having a status in a CC signature, because I was sick of being asked by annoying people, is exactly the same thing as a tacky pin attached to my outfit all day on a cruise ship. [emoji849][emoji849]. Nice work [emoji1303] Literally just put that in there this week. Have no problem removing it.

I think the real issue here is old people having a problem with all millennials, and the fact that we aren’t afraid to say it how it is. If we were to take a vote of actual non-biased people (not in this thread obviously) I’d win [emoji3]

  8. I was in the 101st Airborne Division during Nam. It wasn’t popular to serve during that time. I have several hats with a Screaming Eagle that I wear proudly. Life lessons tell me don’t sweat the small stuff. Things could be much worse.

Obviously, it bothers you they wear their pins.

    Yes, obviously!

    Thank you for your service!

  9. If it doesn’t bother you the why would you think it makes anyone feel special?

I don’t wear shorts into the MDR but don’t care if others do. It’s my vacation and not theirs or anyone else’s.

Explain how there is any reason at all to wear it other than to “show off” or “flaunt their status” or “be recognized for your achievement” as others have said the reasons are? You aren’t wearing it for yourself, because you know when you are pinnacle, obviously. You aren’t wearing it for the crew, because they will know who you are on day 1. So then why? It’s for others to notice lol. Which in many cultures, trying to be noticed is tacky. I’m not alone in this thinking am I?

As you said, it’s not your proghtive to pay attention or care what anyone else is wearing in the MDR. Which I 100% agree. Just like the pins, I don’t care at all that people wear them I just simply said I think it’s gaudy and tacky.

It’s somehow only ok for a pineapple to care about what others are doing or what they are thinking because they are forcing the fact that they are the highest status on people around them by wearing it.

I’ve been on many cruises that Craig was sailing on. Ate meals with him and many other pinnacles. Sat in the b2b lounge with him. Never once have I seen him wear it and he’s at what 4K points? As has also been said, it’s all about how you act. No one else other than you, really cares if you are pinnacle. It’s a great achievement yes.... but no one else cares.

Do military members wear their medals of achievement any time they are in public?? How about Olympic medalists? The list goes on....
