  1. And this is why travel insurance will be going through the roof premium wise as more and more people are shorted their vacations and file claims. Cunard is not looking good right now. Sad for such a long term company to come up aganst poor planning and poorer customer relations.
  2. So do tell how you manage with anytime seating to find a congenial group of like minded folk every evening. My poor experiences were all on NCL. Never had a bad time on Cunard because they had civilized assigned dining times and seatings.
  3. Prior to the anytime late dining chaos sailing solo on Cunard was a joy. Cunard used to match up passengers for large tables and it was rather great fun. Sailing solo on ANY ship that does not offer fixed seating is chancy as so many people tend to shy away from solo passengers. Particularly if you are male. Female solo do tend to do better. Good luck.
  4. Reading all the horror stories about being bumped off the ships due to the need for additional quarantine cabins, No real customer service, bad website functions. One gets the impression that the wheels are coming off the entire company. Definitely want to have travel insurance so as to not get the Thomas Cook or that cruise line that went out of business news.. Sad for a company that is trying to celebrate 100 years of world cruises when they can't run a decent cruise of 8 days these days.
  5. At least they appear to know how to properly dress rather than the randy Casual crowd Cunard is attempting to attract with the shirts and slacks in the evening.
  6. But you may have to surrender to a cheap hotel at some port that is not to your liking. But then a lot of people seem willing to enjoy half cruises in terms of amenities just to be on the water.
