Hi BJ All ok at the moment thanks for asking hope you and yours are still fit but looks like you are with ALL your cruising π. Voucher gone surprisingly easy to transfer. Definitely no flying for use but may consider a Marella cruise if they start UK departures againπ. Couple of photos of the Corinth canal 2009 Keith Maynard cruise director, he was the best, we think. -

We went through the Corinth canal on the old Calypso when we did Istanbul, great memories bouncing of the walls π and having to empty the swimming pool because of the draft. -

Feel everyone has a different idea on this subject, the standard package is fine but if you like better coffee, fine wines, craft beer and a nice brandy, say no more π -
Last minute Marella deals

Hi BB for your info we have only ever cruised with Thomson /Marella and in the main have found them great for us, yes things have changed, not always for the better ie it was five course meals, fantastic west end shows and a lot more staff but times have changed and its still an enjoyable holiday and for us the Eastern Mediterranean /Adriatic is our favourite, and we have cruised in most areas, it's unfortunate that the port of Venice is no longer available as that's one of the best approaches and departures you could experience. Enjoy your cruise. π -

Not a price watcher but after nearly 60 cruises can certainly recommend the Adriatic you would not be disappointed π -

Closest we came to missing the ship when we went in on the bus, massive storm closed the town and all buses stopped π€ͺ Found a very friendly taxi driver, he got a big tipπ -

That's spooky our last cruise on D2 was our 54th and our worst, similar to you no hot water but we had power failure and could not use our JS balcony, they did however give us a Β£1,400 voucher, still haven't spent itπ -
Hi and welcome. First cruise don't think it will be your last. Firstly you will not go hungry, you have no restrictions on how many times you visit the main reasturants, you are correct with the speciality venues but you can ask for extras. You can also always order room service. We haven't cruised since covid but prior to that they always did a late buffet and prior to that they did 24hr food. They post a new menue every day and yes it is different and you can if you have food intolerances have a special menue to order from the day before. The speciality restaurants are special!! π Always book on changeover day from experience. Probably not a lot of help but just go with the flow and enjoy the cruising experience. Have a great cruise π

All ok here thanks BJ hope you and yours are the same, nice to hear your M in L is still cruising, at just a little older than usπ. From what I recall we last paid Β£550 annual World wide for both of us through our bank. Stay safe.

It certainly does BJπ’

First Timer Help Appreciated.
Pensioncruiser replied to Theryesider's topic in Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson)
Hi and welcome, Wow first time cruisers & Caribbean you will do it again so my tips are go with the ship's excursions until you are familiar with the set up, remember the ship will sail without you if you are late back, you have to find your own way at your cost to the next poc probably without passports, we have seen it, not good. Best to try morning first giving you plenty of time. Taxis are great normally you only pay them when they pick you up for return journey. If you are doing back-to-back suggest on changeover you book speciality restaurants, nice and comfortable with all the coming and going onboard. We alway get a taxi to Harbour Lights on changeover for the day good to be off the ship and a great relaxing day, suggest the flighing fishπ. You will have a great time. PS Can't help with dress we are old school and always dress for dinner. π -
Sunshine States and New York

Unfortunately the UK admin of Thomson, Tui and now Marella has always let down the cruising experience but once onboard it becomes a better experience, sorry not much help I know but hopefully you can still enjoy your cruise. I would think that when the agent spoke to you he/she hadn't checked availability and when they did and it wasn't available they just refunded. Just remember they should not sell something that is not available π Hope all works out for you. -

Hi Jim Keep us updated, we had a similar problem on a Barbados flight in premium we were sat apartπ’ out and inbound. The only court case we have had, judge found in our favour. π -

Could be a couple of reasons Jim, consolidation of flights, different plane. Hope all goes well π€ -
Nice oneπ

Think they may do something for your 50 RR, well they did for us but that was a while ago. π
