Yes decided to do that. regular minisuites are located on decks 8 &9 with 12 on 8 and 30 on 9 Several show availability on 9 none on 8….. so the odds favour 9. 😎 On a casino offer after all. -

Thankyou was aware of that. Had hoped that someone would have knowledge of what other decks have mini suites besides 9. Will try a future booking to ascertain -

Going on Ruby Princess on a 16 day to Hawaii. Currently have a regular balcony on deck 14. The cost to upgrade to mini suite will more than double our fare. the bidding opens in a few days and have checked on the available cabins. There are many available and all on deck 9. I am aware that if a bid is accepted I will be stuck with the one given. It looks like deck 9 is the only deck with availability. Does that mean that we would not be given a different deck ? -
Maybe they should sell “No Chair Hogs” tshirts aboard. the designs could be quite creative and the proceeds could be donated to charity. Thought of doing the same for timeshare sellers

Noted that she is cruising at 20.5 knots on her way to Victoria. Now that’s a good sign of the repair success ! -
Carnival Panorama Propulsion Issues
pistnbroke replied to welldone60's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
According to the letter from the Captain, the ship will arrive in Cabo at 6.30 am Wednesday and depart at 4.30pm So 3 full sea days coming down but only 2 full sea days on the way back to Long Beach. Wonder how that will work unless she takes a more direct route than the current one -

Anyone have recent experience from long Beach cruise port .? Arriving from Panorama on Noverber18. understand that there can be waits for rideshare to arrive, due in part to port congestion. would it help to pick one up at the Queen Mary ?

Where is RideShare Area - Long Beach Carnival Port
pistnbroke replied to rnr4thatsme's topic in West Coast Departures
Consider walking over to Queen Mary Much easier and quicker for ride share to avoid the congestion -
So sorry that you HATED my references to the desalinated water. i was relating to my personal experience. on my many subsequent cruises I have not had similar results after using bottled water. i will concede that it is possible that on that particular cruise the process may not have been up to snuff. i will try not to hate a opinion that differs from mine

I find because of the high salt content, can cause retained water( (kankles) It’s probably safe but …?

Would agree with that would be hesitant to bid on an upgrade for that reason and uncertainty of the new location. 10 sea days with only one cabin chair on the Ruby would be a concern Would it be permissible to bring in one from the balcony ?
