    The email basically says that you did not get an upgrade as part of the normal process. Pre-pandemic, that would be the end of upgrade process. 

     

    What they are saying is that with COVID and a lot of last minute cancellations and no-shows, they will fill those rooms, if they decide they want to go through the effort, on embarkation day. We got our final "denied" email about 90 minutes after departure.

  2. My family and I are setting sail on Sunday.  I have had bids in for 7 Haven Categories for at least a month now.

     

    Just received 2 emails with the Title below.  Each email was for a separate Category of heaven.  So I recieved  emails for 2 of the Categories I bid on, but not the others.

     

    Does this mean I MIGHT have a chance at being upgraded to one of these 2 Categories?  

     

    Or am I looking into the emails too much, wondering why I only got emails for (2) of the (7) Categories I bid on.

     

    Either way, even if i do't win and get Upgraded, I'm still happy with our room we booked.  It would just be the icing on my son's Birthday cruise!

    Just an FYI, I had a Club Balcony room on the Joy for Dec 18th cruise to Mexico and bid on nearly everything Haven... all in the mid tear of bids...  Then last minute when I saw that they were discounting the Penthouse Suite with Balcony (SC) rooms. I knew they were not Haven, nor had many perks other then a larger room so I threw a low ball bid on there of the minimum, and 2 days later I got the bid.

     

    When I looked there where very few Haven rooms left so that motivated me to bid on the non haven upgrade, and it worked.. or back fired.. I'll never know... but We did get an upgrade, and we will enjoy or short jaunt down to Cabo and back 🙂 

    Congrats!  My family is cruising on this sailing as well.  We are currently in a Family Inside Suite (SP).  I have multiple bids in for the Haven.  They all still say "pending".

     

    My I ask what date you put in the bid and when did you get the "Accepted" offer?

     

    If I don't get the haven upgrade, I will still be happy with my room.  Last time we sailed with NCL (before the pandemic), we had a Haven 2-Bedroom and it was great and a reasonable price for my family of 4, but now, it seems that the prices have gone way up!

    Congrats!  What sailing?  I'm in the Joy March 1st.  I've been anxiously waiting to hear about my upgrade bid.  But as of 2 days ago, the sailing showed everything to be sold out except for Insides.  This happened overnight....

  8. Im doing a Mexican Riviera Trip in March. . . .my childrens first Cruise (6 & 10).  I obtained passports for them.  I wanted to be sure that if something happened, (God forbid) while in Mexico (On land) or on the Cruise.  We could travel or be air lifted if needed.

     

    IMOHO, it is something good to have while not on US soil.

  9. I just made Reservations for my March 2nd Sailing on the Splendor.  It took (1) Day for them to send me a confirmation by Email.

     

    I will print our the confirmation and bring it aboard as I don't see my reservation in any of my cruise details.  Does anyone have any experience with this?

    I guess I need to cancel all my Princess Cruises.

     

    I wasn't aware of the Tattoo restrictions.

     

    Do you think they will let me use my "formal attire" to cover my tattoos while I'm sitting by the pool being forced to listen to the overly loud movie/concert on MUTS?

     

    P.S. I'm 56 and am usually considered, as you say, "those types"

    Guess I picked the wrong line for all my tattoos as well!!!

     

    Just got off the Jewel March 19th.....Had a wonderful time, Aft Penthouse Suite!!! Everyone/everything was great!

  11. I was just able to book a Grand Scenic Ocean suite, 9200 on Splendor in March of 2019.

     

    It did NOT show up as available on the carnival website.....BUT it DID show up on my TA's website! This was in 2 minutes of looking at Carnivals website.......

     

    I booked right away! This is our first family vacation on a cruise, I didn't want to get a balcony with the kids being young.... Also, it came with a nice OBC from my TA too....

    Is it okay if we bring a little bottle that is still factory sealed???

     

    I was talking to the pre concierge and they told me that I couldn't even bring those "Mio" water flavor enhancers.

    So that got me thinking about the mouthwash.

     

    Do anyone have any insight in this??

     

    We leave in 4 days to the Mexican Riviera.

  13. This explains why all the excursions in PV are gone on myncl site....I have one booked for the whole day....

     

    But, it doesn't explain why the 2 excursions that I wanted to book in Mazatlan are currently gone! Looked last night and they were there, but looked this morning and they were gone.....

     

    My sailing is 4 days away.

  14. This will be our first time on NCL, and we are booked inna Aft Penthouse Suite.

     

    My question has to do primarily with the porters...

     

    I will be dropping my wife and bags off in the front before I park the car.

     

    Do I give my Luggage to the Porters Curbside, or do they have Porters dedicated to Suite guests?
