10 Days!!!! Jewel to Mexican Riviera!

I just booked on the Splendor for 2019....... the illusive "Grand Scenic Ocean View" 9200 stateroom!!!

We are heading to the Mexican Riviera 03/12/17.

 

Are we allowed to bring snacks in our carry on or checked luggage? Like gummy bears, chocolate, chips....Etc.

 

I know they don't let you bring drinks, but wasn't too sure about snacks.

 

Anybody have any experience with this?

I booked through a TA, does that hinder getting my doc's on time.....Or does NCL send them straight to me?

This will be our first cruise with NCL. 03/12 on the Jewel. I was wondering how long in Advance will we receive our luggage tags? Our sailing date is 50 days out.

 

Also, I've heard that NCL does or did at Suite Preference sheet? Pillow type.....Etc? Do they still do that?

We booked through a TA, AFT PENTHOUSE SUITE. Will NCL send us our luggage tags or will they send it to the TA? Also, are we supposed to get some sort of suite checklist or questioners from NCL??

Me and my wife are headed to the Mexican Riviera in March of 2017.

 

We both love to dance, seeing as we have 2 small children and don't get to go out dancing often.

 

Do they offer this on the jewel? Do they have a club type atmosphere in the spinnaker lounge some nights?

Which sailing did you select for rebooking? We are still deciding although have not received any "official" email yet? By the way...what island are you from? Or is the 808 a reference for something else?

 

I rebooked on the March 12 - 19, 7 day Mex Riviera cruise.... I just told my TA that I wanted my same room for any sailing date in March and April....then she came back with those dates an hour later.

 

I was born and raised on O'ahu. I live in So Cal now. Are you from the islands too!

Got my cancelled sailing changed today. I think I'm lucky, because I was able to keep the same suite that I had/wanted! Plus all my perks stayed the same! - UDP , UBP, Pre-paid Gratuities, & $500 OBC ($200/NCL, $100/NCL change of date credit & $200/TA)

 

Hope it all works out for everyone else!

 

BTW, my TA had no idea about the cancelations! Even when I called them today to change. I was told my my friend who has booked the same sailing as me, but booked it through NCL instead of a TA.

I just changed my CANCELLED Jan 22nd cruise to the March 12 cruise....

 

I was able to keep All of my perks, same room (I was lucky) and even got the additional $100 OBC....now I got $500 total OBC. ($300/NCL & $200/TA)

It was very Anti-climactic! I know I won't have Money, Time-Off or resources to go those places anytime soon.

Did I miss the big announcement? Or was it that they are Expanding to Asia and Aus???

I am booked in the Jewel in Jan of 2016, they just sent me an email today that as of the end of 2015, NICK will no longer be part of the Jewel...

Has anyone done this? What are your thoughts?

 

I've been looking at their website and it also sports the "LA Banana loca" water slides! This looks like so much fun!

 

It doesn't say anything about the waterslide on NCL's excursion, but I hope it is included.

 

Has anyone done this? Was it through NCL or did you book it private?

 

I'd love to know your thoughts or experiences....

We have done 10666 on the Jewel and the Gem. Mention to the concierge that it is your anniversary and perhaps some strawberries may appear! I think we got some for the daily canapes a few days, but I do remember getting them for our anniversary.

We just celebrated our 10th anniversary in a HAL suite and we definitely missed that coffee machine! It did everything but fly us to the moon :) As I recall we had 2 loungers, a chair, and a table on the balcony. We are all about the aft and would not consider giving up the view of the wake for some time in the haven. It was secluded enough to have some quiet time or if you wanted to chat with neighbors above of below, step towards the balcony.

Grab a bottle of Hazelnut creamer at the port and toss it in the fridge :)

 

Mmmmmm...Hazelnut creamer! I'm all about the aft too...on don't think the haven is for us.....I enjoy being around other people on the boat, excitement...

Keep 10664 in good shape. We have it booked for later also!

My wife and I are booked in a suite.....our friend is booked in a inside room.

We both (us) & my friend, have the UDP.........how do we make a reservation at specialty restaurants for a table of 3? Are you allowed to do that at time of reservation? Or is the reservation only made for the amount of people in your room?

Any info would be helpful.....
