  1. What about surprising her with some time at the spa?! Doesn't have to be a massage. She could get her hair done or her nails. I don't know if you can book that sort of thing ahead of time, but if you can't, give her a card with a fake "coupon" for a spa treatment, then she can pick out what she wants and you guys can book it together. Then when she's at her appt, you can go make your plans. Plus, she'll appreciate the chance to look and feel her best when she's proposed to. It's a win-win. Good luck! [emoji4]

Thats a great idea! I will look into it!

    Thanks!

  2. Yea.... I don't think drugging her is the answer. lol.

My reservation for the steakhouse has all ready been made, and I have already spoken with the manager about my intentions. The manager wanted me to come speak to her when I board the ship to talk about specifics. I was also informed by the cruise director that the photo manager will be waiting to hear from me when I get aboard. I have done everything I can from a computer I just need to slip away to finalize everything.

  3. Okay so I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend the first night on board, however, I need to be able to have about 45 minutes to my self to make plans with the steakhouse manager, and the photo manager. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to keep her occupied so she doesn't realize I am up to something? I was thinking about a massage, however, the earliest appointment they have on day 1 is 4pm, and I would like to get this done earlier than that.

    Thanks for all the advice!

  4. Hey guys, does anyone know which is the better value? The excursion to Atlantis offered by Carnival, http://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/nassau-the-bahamas/atlantis-beach-day-and-discover-atlantis-424040# for $99 a person or to take a $5 cab ride over and pay when we get there? I am not interested in the water park at all, however, I do want to see all the aquariums and the dig. Does anyone know what the general admission price is when you get to Atlantis? Thanks for your help.

  5. Does anyone know of it better options for swimming with the dolphins than the ones advertised by Carnival, or cruiseonly.com? You pay roughly $200 per person to spend 30 minutes in the water. I don't necessarily mind the cost, however, I am looking for a better value. I don't even mind having to pay a little bit more to be able to spend more time with the dolphins. Thanks for your help.

  6. Hearing these bad things about Sunshine is not making me happy ... but best to know before we go!

Sunshine will be doing some sailings out of Charleston (very convenient port for us) next year so we're looking at the 10 day May 30, 1016. If the public areas are always really crowded ... maybe not. :o

I will be on the Sunshine in July, and I will be happy to report how busy it is. I do have an aft balcony booked so I am not overly concerned about deck space.

  7. Any reviews / info on this aft extended balcony room? We are booked for September. Thanks.

I am booked for this room at the end of July. I have been curious if the bar upstairs can be noisy late at night. Hopefully someone who has stayed in there will reply, if not I will let you know how everything goes with my trip.

  8. I have been looking into going on Carnival Sunshine this July. The ship looks really great but I've read complaints about the Lido deck and more specifically the main pool being over crowded and people not even being able to go into the pool or find a chair. Is this true? Has anyone been on Sunshine in the middle of summer and experienced the ship being to crowded?

Every cruise ship is busy during the summer, its not just a Sunshine thing. If you want to guarantee getting a deck chair, spring for a balcony room.

  9. Definitely the Steakhouse, and I would contact them and let them know your plans! And I would spring for the 50% off wine rather than the free...and get something sparkling!! But that's just me!!

If I can get champagne half price I will definitely spring for that!

  10. Yes, the steakhouse really is that nice! We love it and go at least twice on a seven night cruise. There is more than just steak-the lobster ravioli is just wonderful! The entire experience is great. Just call the steakhouse once you are on board and they will get you a great table and help things along. I know they will! [emoji4]

Thank you very much for the advice Karlou! I have all ready set a reservation, I will contact them the moment I step on the ship. I have the Faster to the fun, so I should be one of the first on!

  11. I would go to the steakhouse to propose. Let them know your plans and I'm sure you will get the best table in the house! The staff is fantastic!

    Have a great time!

Is the Steakhouse really that nice? I have never been there before. I just want to make this moment perfect. Cruise is paid for, ring is paid for, now just waiting for the moment.
