  1. We are sailing Seaside on June 16th and chose YC on deck 16 simply because we didn't want the pool area above us. I have read some people say that there is some noise from the pool deck but it doesn't last too long. I haven't heard any real negative for either one honestly. Hope you have a great cruise!!

  2. We take a cab.

Took the water taxi a few times, but will not do it again.

First you are packed in like sardines. If you get there when the boat is relatively empty you'll wait till it get full...and I mean full. Then you not dropped off right at the hotel (like with the taxi), but have to walk a few blocks to get there .... in the heat ..... up hill if I remember correctly,

I can second this... DO NOT take the water taxi. The wait is long. The drop off location is not near the entrance. A taxi is infinitely easier.

  3. Hey everyone, me, my DW and our two children will be on the Seaside June 16th this year in the Yacht Club and I some questions about the wrist bands and the MSC for ME app.

    1. Our daughters are 12 & 14 and I wanted to know if they will be given the kids wristband or the adults one.
    2. Are you able to track the Adult wristbands with the app or just the kids?
    3. If they are given the Adult wristband and you can't track the Adult wristbands can we choose to get them the kids wristband instead?

Hopefully someone out there can answer these for me. Extremely excited to go on the Seaside and this board has been extremely helpful in the past.

    Thanks in advance...

  4. Fredric how many cruises have you done? i am a 52 and have NEVER had a ships pool without a shallow end

Newfie, in response to your post above I have only been on 4 cruises but the very first Carnival one that I went on didn't have a shallow end in one of the pools. I actually enjoyed it to be very honest but can see where others might find it disappointing.

While I admire 52 cruises I can't really see the need to be so negative to Fredric. Hope that wasn't the way you intended your post to be interpreted but that was the way I read it. Whether you have been on 52 cruises or only 1 you are still entitled to your opinion.

I am booked on the Seaside for the June 16th sailing and am very excited!

  5. Hey everyone,

I am booked on the Seaside for June 16th in a Yacht Club Deluxe Suit. Me and my family are super excited for this trip and I am really glad we booked the YC.

I wanted to know if kids were allowed in the Aurea Thermal area or not. Our girls are 12 and 14 and would love to try it out but I completely understand if there is a strict "no children" policy.

Can someone who has been on the Seaside let me know?

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the help!

  6. You get the bracelet on embarkation. You then have to take it to the kids club to activate and can then track using the msc for me app. There is a Wi-Fi hotspot available free of charge for anyone to use this app.

Sent from my SM-G920F using Forums mobile app

    Thank you sparkles!

I did have one other question regarding the bracelets.

Can they be removed for when you are sleeping or do they have to remain on once you put them on the first time.

  7. Hey everyone, I will be on the Liberty Oct. 8th and I am extremely excited. First cruise in a while without the kids and me and my DW have definitely earned a little R&R.

I just wanted to know where on the Liberty I can get a milkshake. We have the Cheers! package and I am looking forward to taking full advantage of it!!

    Thanks in advance!

  8. What are you talking about?

I think the OP means the "MSC for ME" that was rolled out on the Meriviglia.

I too would be interested in more information about the bracelets.

Also, do they come off or do they have to stay on during the entire cruise.

Thanks in advance for anyone that can shed some light on this topic.

  9. I am a little confused on something about the Yacht Club.

Which drink package is it equivalent to right now?

MORE-FOR-LESS DELUXE ADULT ALL-INCLUSIVE UNLIMITED DRINKS

    or

MORE-FOR-LESS CLASSIC ADULT ALL-INCLUSIVE UNLIMITED DRINKS

Any help will be appreciated as I am a newbie to MSC but looking forward to my cruise on the Seaside next year.

    Thanks in advance!!

  10. As you said in another post "Apologies to the YC crowd".

I think (IMO) all GS guest should have access to the YC. They also paid a premium for those cabins.

What are chances of all GS Cabin guest showing up at the YC at the same time. :)

I understand this position but really it doesn't work on any level.

I was one of the ones that booked a GS on the Seaside and when the news came out that the cabin I had booked wasn't what was originally advertised I switched to the YC.

People were paying for a GS were paying for the extra room. People paying for the YC were paying for a more personal experience. If all GS guests were allowed access to the YC then no one is getting what they paid for.

I absolutely hope that GS guests get taken care of for the confusion, frustration and everything else that is a results of this mix up but at the same time please don't lessen others experience in order to do that. I for one hope you get a crap load of on-board credit or some other means that will actually make up for this inconvenience.

How will they make it up to the YC guests who now have 40+ people in the YC, which may or may not be equipped to handle it. I am sure that the number of guests in the YC plays a HUGE role in how they staff and prepare for the YC experience.

Just my 2 cents and I really hope that I don't offend anyone. First and foremost I hope everyone has an amazing cruise.

  11. I REALLY hope that they don't allow Aurea guests access to YC. I originally had an Aurea GS booked due to the 2bdr layout but once I found out that the cabin I had booked wasn't 2bdr I switched to the YC Deluxe Suite.

I am looking forward to the YC and a less crowded area... hopefully they can come up with something to make up for the HUGE confusion regarding the GS's. On-board credit or something similar without taking away from someone else's enjoyment.

This has been very confusing to follow all of this but I kind of expected that when booking a cruise on a ship that isn't even finished.

  12. Thanks Bea!!

I was afraid of that but it's vacation right, I'll just let her go wild and not worry about it.

You've been great with posts and answers to questions.

It's people like you that help make this board such a great source of information.

Super excited for my first ever Yacht Club and MSC experience!!

  13. Hey everyone,

I had a hopefully easy question for those that have been on the Meraviglia in the Yacht Club.

Is the Jean-Philippe Crepes and Ice Cream included in the Yacht Club or is it extra?

I am booked on the Seaside in the Yacht Club for June of 2018 and my daughter LOVES crepes so it would be great if they were included.

    Thanks or the help!!

  14. Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check and see if anyone that has sailed on the Meraviglia could shed some light on the MSC for Me program.

    1. What does it cost for children?

    2. What age child is it free?

    3. What does it cost for adults?

    4. Is there any way that it is free for Yacht Club guests?

My family has a Yacht Club deluxe suite booked for the June 16th on the Seaside and we are EXTREMELY excited! This will be our first cruise with MSC and I am looking forward to the Yacht Club. Thanks in advance for any advice or information.

  15. I have searched for this information before but I couldn't find the detail I was unclear on.

My family is booked on the Seaside for June 2018, me, DW, and 12 & 14 daughters.

We are in a Grand Suite with the Aurea experience. VERY excited for this cruise and the new ship.

What I don't know about is the drink package that comes with the Aurea experience. Does it include the specialty iced coffees from the Chocolate/Coffee Bar which looks like it is located on Deck 6?

My kids would love to have all you can drink "Caramel Coffee Frost" but I don't want to get their hopes up if they aren't included.

Thanks in advance for any information you can pass along.

  16. MSC newbie here so I may sound a little uninformed but I had a question about the location of the Main Buffet. I know that no one "really" knows anything until the ship launches but it seems strange that the buffet would be located on Deck 8 since that is very far removed from the pool/Lido deck.

Wouldn't there be a lot of traffic between the two which are usually located close together?? Is this standard for MSC?

I am booked on the Seaside for the New Years Eve cruise and I am VERY excited! I am anxiously reading as much information as I can get...

Thanks for all of the good info everyone!!

  17. Hello everyone, just had a quick question on something for kids on MSC. I have never been on MSC before but we have booked the Seaside on Dec. 30th this year. We are really excited for this cruise and like the activities for our kids that are offered, 5D Theatre, F1 Simulator, Bowling...

I am trying to figure out if there is a "pass" that is offered that will allow unlimited use of the kid's entertainment options. I can't find any specific information about it but I seem to be getting hints in other threads that this is offered.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and can't wait to see more information on the Seaside!!

    William
