  1. We were on one of these tours after our Reflection cruise. We took it as we had a flight out of Miami at 3.30 (the brochure said it was suitable for flights after 3pm). The tour itself was fine we felt (a little bit disorganised getting on but you could live with it). Where it got really bad was at the end. We were brought to a downtown venue (about a 20 min drive to the airport), three busloads of folks lined up (in the heat) and told to wait for our bags to be unloaded from the back of a truck. It was utter chaos, people were going crazy (and rightly so) as bags were going missing and it was 1.45!! We grabbed our bags and took a cab as there was zero chance of us making our flight if we had waited for the transfer

  2. I was heading to the gym our first sea day morning (I just woke early!!) and witnessed a 'chair hog mom' reserving 4 loungers by the pool, clips aplenty!! On the way back I saw a 'chair hog dad' lying on a lounger, wrapped up in towels (the sun was barely in the sky!!) with each of his sandals on two adjacent loungers. Stayed cloudy most of the day.... hey ho

  3. We were on the last cruise and tried Little Chef also. The presentation is fun and 'cute', it made us chuckle a few times. I would agree it's a once off though, the menu is very limited, the alternatives are from the MDR everyday menu (which is poor considering its a fee venue).

I would also agree kids would get it more than adults but the menu would put them off. The general consensus around the ship was it was worth doing once (at $25 and definitely not $55 as suggested it will be) and Qsine is a better option

  4. Just back from St Marten on the Reflection and happy to say, certainly on the Dutch side, the island appears to be finding its way back from Irma. We did a tour first day and relaxed on the beach at Philipsburg day two which was great (and personally would do that way quicker than alcove in port).

Antigua we found absolutely beautiful, did an island tour with local taxi (organised easily in port).

If I was determined to miss visiting one of these amazing islands I would alcove in Barbados

  5. Hi Pete,

Great thread, enjoying your updates. Will be onboard the Reflection in July which includes Spanish ports. Can you tell me is the additional Vat applied in Spanish waters applying to drinks packages and specialty dining packages already purchased (prior to boarding for instance) or is it only applying to ad hoc purchases?

    Thanks
