John Waggoner is an entrepreneur in the passenger vessel industry. He began his career in sportfishing with an interest in the business- side of the industry as much as just catching tuna. He’s been involved in Commercial Fishing, Offshore Oil Support Vessels, Dinner Cruise/Excursion Vessels, Casino Boats and Car/Passenger Ferry Operations for over 30 years. He and a business partner founded HMS, growing from one employee to over 700. John also sits on the transportation committee of the St. Louis Fed Advisory Board. Waggoner recently purchased Victory Cruise Lines, a fleet of two coastal cruise ships, that will offer guests 10-to-12-day voyages on all five Great Lakes beginning Spring 2025. Chicago to Toronto, Chicago to Montreal and Chicago roundtrip.
