We have booked on Indy for May 2016 and we last sailed on her in 2013, so this topic is of interest to us as well !!!
From following CC, i think the parades may have changed ?
But the productions shows are currently still the same ?

When we was last on Indy a few years ago in a OS, we went to Chops on embarkation day, but it was closed, we ate in the WJ.
-
Some nights in the MDR we had to wait a bit between courses, but that was because of the adjoining table ordering numerous extras dishes with each course, Grrrrr
-
We have the premium drinks package as part of a deal when we booked, looking at the difference, i cannot see how we would have benefitted from the Ultimate package ?
-
On a Med cruise, our daughter has stopped on board on a couple of port days, mainly because she was hung over !!! She did say that the ship was great as it was really quiet, which given her headache was appreciated !!!

If anything went wrong and the child was injured. I wonder how many parents would accept responsibility for allowing their under height child on the flow rider or point the finger at the member of staff for not enforcing the rules ?

Best to carry on, rather than risk some disgruntled porter at the dock throwing your case into somersaults before it makes its way on the ship rattling !

My wife loves wearing glamorous long dresses on formal nights and a tux for me. I always use a self-tie bow tie, they look a lot better than the pre-tied ones.

I have to drink soya milk and was pleasantly surprised to discover that they stocked it on Indy when we was last on a few years ago. It is always worth checking before you travel because they might have it now board.
-
When I first cruised which was 5 years ago I was not even aware of the forum, it is only this year that I have become aware of the threads and now contribute and follow the various threads.
-
I follow the message boards every day and find them very informative and on some sailings from the the US there is over a hundred people attending the meet and mingle.
-
We are booked on a RCI cruise next May sailing from Southampton in the UK. We have only come across this forum this year and have signed up for the Roll Call and with RCI.
What I have noticed is that US citizens seem to embrace this and looking at how many people turn up, there are well supported. Whereas Indy is well over 75% full for next May, but there is only just over 20 people signed up for the meet and mingle.
Is this a cultural thing ?

On our last cruise on Indy, which was our first with RCI we had a suite and our pass worked in both the CL and the Diamond + lounge?
-
On our next cruise we have requested a large table as I think it's a great way to meet people, singles, couples and groups.
-
We sailed on Indy a few years ago from Southampton UK in a OS and the port agent initially gave us blue cards and I had to ask for Gold cards.
-
On another thread, RCI posting about boarding times on the Quantum class ships and I am hoping it's not rolled out on the other ships ?
-
For us dressing up is all part of the cruising experience. However, there are other cruise companies that do not enforce a dress code so I would direct the OP to one of those.

Bad Manners crosses all cultures. But from the OP message I just can't see how anyone would kick off over something so trivial. Having said that on our last RCI cruise I was embarrassed to be a Brit with the antics of a family on the next table in the MDR. Every night they made us cringe with our they spoke to staff. I suppose we tried to counter that by ensuring our requests to the dining room staff was heard in order to demonstrate there is an appropriate way of communicating with someone just doing a job. .....

That sounds strange !!!
We are booked on Indy for 14th May next year and i know that all the suites are booked, or are there ?
-
On our last trip on Indy a few years ago we went in the CL every day for two weeks and never saw any Officer in there...
-
We did the All Access tour on Indy, well worth the cost, we took lots of photos which are fantastic. The staff were very helpful and made the trip memorable.
It will be different on every ship, but a lot of thought goes into making the trip a WOW moment

Been in both Chops and Giovanni's on Indy, enjoyed the top quality food in both, however, the service was better in Giovanni.

Really enjoyed your Review, many thanks :)

We have been on Indy once and Azura twice, we have booked to go on Indy next May. It is a much better ship than Azura, with lots of different activities compared to Azura.
Having said that, we thought the food was better on P&O and the drinks were comparable to UK bar prices, whereas Indy bar prices were higher. On our next Indy cruise, we have a drinks package.
Muster drill needs improvement

I think the approach of RCI to the drill is very professional and it does give me confidence that my safety is a priority.
