Several times we've had non-gay couples at our FOD's. Often, non-gay women also. The reason they asked if they could join was because our group was having fun.

Ok we really had to think hard. At first we were thinking what a dull and boring sea life we were leading. Then it hit us. We were up in the buffet and we thought we saw a dog wearing a dress. Maybe a doll? But surely not a real dog. We looked around and several other people we doing double takes also.
i got up followed the woman with the "dog doll". Sure enough, there was a tiny little dog wearing a dress. Back in the cabin, I called the front desk and said I had seen a dog in a dress in the buffet and if dogs were allowed. After a pause, the man on the desk said he'd check and call me back.
About five minutes later, he rang me back. Well it seems it was a helper dog and yes, the woman had papers for it.
My reply to him was, "And I bet you thought I was nuts when I said I saw a dog in a dress". He hesitated and I said, it's ok. I thought I was also.
That I think will be our contribution to this.

If there is a long line for drinks at the pool bar just walk to the railing and gaze out to sea and yell "WOW Look at the Whale". When everyone runs to the rail to see you get you drink without standing in line.:o

This may not be a secret but it was great nevertheless.
On sailings where we have been lucky enough to have a balcony, in foreign ports and when your balcony is on the docked side of the ship, when the ship is close to sailing time, instead of going up to a deck or lounge for sailaway, just hang out on the balcony - Then as you see all the folks running for all glory be down the dock so as to make the ship on time start cheering and hootin' & hollerin' (you won't be alone) - it was hilarious! This was one of our favorite activities on more than one ship.
Shamed to say, I love to do that with fingers crossed it will NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR be us doing the running. Or missing the ship. :o

I wanted to warn any non-US cruisers to be very careful if they cruise with a replacement passport. I had an unfortunate experience and I enclose a copy of the letter and email I sent to Princess.

I am a great fan of Princess Cruises and have completed 12 cruises with you in the last 6 years.
The most recent cruise from 10/17 to 10/31 was immense fun until I tried to disembark from the ship at the end of the cruise. I was prevented from leaving the ship by Princess staff and had to wait 15 minutes for TSA personnel to escort me off the ship like a common criminal past all the other passengers. I was then processed, separated from my partner and kept waiting in the TSA office for some long time (knowing that I could miss my flight at 11 am), I was eventually seen by TSA staff and released after a total of over one hour.
It transpired that Princess had given TSA my old passport number and they (TSA) wanted to know why I had 2 passports. Eventually they decided to believe that I was the same person and that my previous passport had been replaced. At this point my partner and I had to scramble to get an expensive taxi to the airport in time for our flight.
I want to know why Princess gave TSA my old passport number. I had completed the boarding pass information on line with my current passport details. The passport had also been scanned as I initially boarded the ship. I trust you will look into this matter to ensure that this humiliation does not happen again to some other poor non-US passenger.
The whole experience was extremely traumatic for my partner and me.

So far there has been a deathly silence from Princess.
Needless to say I shall be trying to ensure that Princess or any other cruise line provide the correct information to the TSA in future.
