I am in the same situation for a Dec cruise out of Mobile. I have FTTF and a 11:00am-11:30am check in time. I am wondering if FTTF is even worth it since I have such a early check in time.

Need some advice on cruise in January, leaving from Mobile. Is it better to stay at hotel that has park and cruise and let them transport you to the port? Or is it better parking car yourself at the port. I know it costs more to park yourself, but I have 8 people traveling so that might make a difference in hotel transportation. Also I read that Renaissance Riverview and Hampton Inn is within walking distance to port...true???
I think I'm stressing myself out over all of this...haha
You can book at the Hampton Inn and Suites and they will give you a voucher to park at the port included in the Sleep,Park & Cruise offer. It may cost a little more then the other park and cruise options, but I like the idea of my vehicle at the port versus having to take a shuttle after I get off the boat just to get to my car.

!. not to over pack, there is no need to bring a lot of new clothes. n!
Dont forget a sweatshirt or light jacket. It gets chilly on the deck at night.

I had FTTF on a cruise out of NOLA. I showed up to port after the FTTF calling but was whisked away to the front of the line and boarded immediately after getting my picture taken. From parking in the garage to boarding it was probably less then 30 minutes.

If you are walking from the parking garage to the parade then take a stroll through the mall that runs along the Mississippi. If you get there as soon as the garage opens you will have plenty of time to relax in the mall till it's time to head out for the parade. There is a cafe du monde and if you are a coffee drinker I highly recommended trying the cafe au lait with your beignets. You can sit out and watch the ships sail by as you enjoy a quick breakfast.

you could run in port instead of taking an excursion.. Or run to a excusrion and take a taxi back. Just have your shipmates bring you a change of clothes.

I was there this past weekend and the shop across from the port was open and in business. I didn't buy any retin A but did see it for sale. They had your ED drugs and just about everything else.

I purchased FTTF on my first cruise and thought it was worth it. I have it for my upcoming cruise but I am 90% sure I am going to cancel it a week before sailing for several reasons. So it will become available at some point for my upcoming cruise when I cancel.
