  1. Not sure if this will help but we sailed the maiden NCL Viva from Lisbon last Nov. The morning of the sailing the pilot boats went on strike. It was a mess at the port but we were able to board and cruise.
  2. We did this on a cruise shortly after pandemic. I liked it. When you went to the buffet for breakfast you got an empty box and were allowed to fill it with what you wanted. It was a nice beach day.
  3. We loved the Viva. Our 89th cruise was on the Nov. transatlantic. We'd been on the Prima so were prepared for the smaller buffet and atrium. Buffet area is small and some of the seats are the high ones that do not work for us. But there were other options like Hudson's, Indulge or the Local. My husbands big complaint is the atrium area where the band is is very small surrounded by a bookcase divider thing, They did set out folding chairs for more seating but awkward. Turned out not be a problem for us though since we liked going to see the singers at the Metropolitan at night instead on both Prima and Viva.
  4. Loved both the Prima and Viva. We have been on 89 cruises about half of those on NCL. Buffet area on both were not my favorite but we just went elsewhere for breakfast and lunch. Amazing theater.
  5. Long time DCL cruisers - since 1999. We were on the Dream the last week in April and there was definitely something off. Food and service were bad. Disney is not known for their food but this was our 46th Disney cruise and it was way worse. On our cruise they did have someone from Corporate onboard so pretty sure they are aware that there is a problem. We didn't complain but when we got home I called to book another cruise and the agent told me there were a lot of complaints. There were a lot of families with a lot of kids which made the ship very crowded. We sailed on the Magic 3 weeks ago and totally different. It was also a very full sailing but seemed to operate more efficiently. Husband and I agreed they seemed to making more of an effort than in the past. Food and service were much improved. I dragged a very unwilling husband to Disney Dreams and after the show he actually commented that he enjoyed it. We will be on the Fantasy next week for the Halloween cruise so we will see how that one goes.
