  1. Does anyone know of a reasonable company that does day tours in Sydney? I'm looking to be picked up at the airport, take the day tour, and be dropped off at a hotel near the cruise port.

    Thanks for any information!

http://www.sydneytourguide.com.au I just googled exactly what you said and this site came up. I have not used them good luck do check reviews with TripAdvisor

  2. I have a cruise in Feb 2018 and was able to purchase tickets via their portal cheaper than transferring to United. So that is another option. You can also look at going via Honolulu as I am to break up the trip.

  3. We just returned from a Pullantur cruise on the Zenith, and were very disappointed. This was our fifth Pullmantur cruise and we had booked the Royal Suite with balcony.

The balcony was unusable because it was always flooded from water that had been used to clean the deck above and needed daily vacuuming of the water. The toilets were erratic and they did not want you to flush toilet paper down them. In addition they did not provide facial tissue in the cabin, you needed to have brought your own.

Our air conditioning did not work at first and needed repair and our door key did not work and required a carpenter/electrician to replace the entire locking system.

The food in the dining room was the poorest we have had on any cruise in terms of quality and variety..

The good things were that with the Royal Suite we had access to a small Waves Yacht Club such as is on the Monarch. There we had free internet too. Also we had a private deck area to sun on and very good old Celebrity teak lounge chairs. We also got a good bottle of Cava or Prosecco daily and a fresh fruit basket each other day. They also gave us Todo wrist bands so we had access to all the premium drinks but some wines were not available or very limited as they did not get their full order when they departed Santo Domingo.

Prior to this cruise we had already booked another Pullmantur cruise for the fall on the Monarch and hope it will be better.

    Thanks

  5. I have patters from 48 cruises dating back to 1996 but am not going to take the time to scan and file them - don't know what good they are as they are all cruise specific

Why are you keeping them then?

I am looking because I normally do not cruise Princess and was looking to schedule a few activities from my roll call and wanted an idea of which sea day had activities that should not be missed so I wouldn't have too many conflicts.

  6. We are on the transatlantic in May from Colon to Lisbon. Like others I would recommend a suite as you get lots of extras (Junior Suite is not included). This will be our 3rd Cruise with this company and the previous 2 have been great, they are also excellent value for money. We also got a free upgrade from a Grand Suite to a De-luxe suite.

I know it's been awhile but what ship were you on that Junior Suite didn't count for extras?

I am looking online for the Zenith JT with balcony and it has some access to the Waves Club ( White) and it also has Service Luxe which has many extras.

  7. I stayed in Roatan lat 2 years for a 10 day stay and Cleve Bodden took us on an amazing island tour including snorkeling if you ask.

He is very reasonable and will take you through the island and give you the history of his country.

He is on F B Cleve's tours and adventures and you can message him.

We stayed above Beachers and ate at all the local places just mentioned.

By the way, off shore snorkeling means you walk in from shore.

West Bay has the best as the reef is right there!

All the way to the left towards the rocks jetting out is where the maze of reef is.

We also took boat rides with West Bay diving center for only $5pp and went snorkeling while the divers dove. We did this several times seeing turtles, lionfish and more.

  9. What is your definition of really rough?

And you've already decided (beforehand) that you will be sick and you will barf even before the event? Sounds like the classic self-fulfilling prophecy to me, which is exactly my point - that it's all in your head. ;)

I sailed through a typhoon once and the ship was taking 45 degree rolls for two days, now that's really rough!;p

Just because it doesn't happen to you and it does thousands if not millions of people should you discredit is as it being a real life thing that I for one do not make it happen.

As others I too have vertigo and have been to physical therapy to dislodge the crystals and get them to the right place in my inner ear canal.

I often have gotten seasick while snorkeling in rough waters.

I get nauseous at just looking at a merry go round.

For the OP I too use the sea bands, meclizine ( bonine) ginger root capsules and ginger candy all seem to manage when on a cruise.

The worst I had it was in the Galapagos islands for 6 straight hours on a 75 foot boat where it rocked back and forth and left to right.

  10. Check map below. The ferry docks are located in the lower left corner of map. Tobacco Bay and Fort St Catherine are towards the upper left corner of the map. The blue dots represent a walking route which include other sites. The distance from King's Square to TB is about .6 mile, a little longer from the ferry docks and is walkable.
