  1. Yes, avoid the casino at night as it gets very congested, especially when the show lets out.  The layout is very poor, and many areas aren't accessible due to the tight and irregular machine placement and bodies playing.  In many sections you even have a difficult time walking through or sitting at a machine if someone is playing the one across from each other/you.There are machines nearer the Schooner bar that are more easily accessed (but that bar as has been mentioned can be a challenge at times as well).  Best to time your playing times "off cycle".

  2. My wife and I have booked a cabin each on an upcoming sailing and are bringing another couple.  We will swap keys through guest services once onboard, which we have done before with no issue.  The couple we are bringing this time wish to purchase a beverage package (we are d+ so no need for us).  We are hoping that someone reading this may have done this "swap" and purchase before.  Can't see why they wouldn't want to sell a beverage package to our friends once they are in the same cabin.  Anyone have experience with this?  Thanks in advance.

  3. 1) yes they will get back to you, however you’re better off calling them. They’re very helpful. 1-888-561-2234

    2) if you choose to book a cruise and room that doesn’t have an interior that matches your offer, you can use the $500 towards that booking.

    3) you can call and ask to upgrade from an interior and they will tell you the current upgrade cost. It changes based on promotions that are active at the time.

    4) call and talk to the reps, they’ve very helpful and can answer your questions….

My husband and I are both Casino Prime on Royal. In April we will both recieve a free cruise. If I book one cruise with a friend and he books the other cruise with a friend on the same cruise ship sailing. Can we move our friends into one of the cabins?  Or does one Prime person have to be in each cabin?

Hi - yes, once onboard you can go to guest services and request the cabin key swap.  You need to be sure your guests are on the same credit card/account and you and your husband are on the same one.  They will match the keys to the same onboard charge account.

Blue Chip Club is hard to figure out regarding comp offers.  I am Amethyst and my husband is Onyx and I would get offers for comp veranda all the time going back 3 or 4 years until recently.  Now the offers are not as good(maybe because they do not need passengers as business is good).  The strange thing is that my husband gets offers more often than I do and he honestly does not play that much.

We receive postcards but when I called about a Bermuda cruise this spring they said to check often  bluechipcluboffers.com.  There best deal we find is when you get a card in your cabin and you book onboard.

I have spoken to the Host on several cruises but I guess I do not play anywhere near enough to warrant a very positive response.  Honestly I would not want to gamble anymore - happy with their offers.

Sailing in May to Bermuda on a comp cruise so maybe I can book another one while onboard.

I would agree.  We just got off Reflection and I qualified for a concierge class cruise and exceeded the amethyst level.  I then spoke to the host and upon return called Ble Chip. I couldn't get any confirmation of when/howlong my Amethyst status would last, and was also advised that I needed to book one of the offered cruises (which all end in July) or find another one that sails before August to use my $1500 credit. Is that normal for BCC?

  6. OK - back from Celebrity and Odyssey and 7+ staff mentioned the combining of the programs, which should be a big positive.  Now that I'm active with Blue Chip Club (Celebrity's casino program)  I have to say my initial impression is it's not run as well as Casino Royale. The fact that you have a separate BCC number (not your Captains Club number) and the points you earn onboard for free cruise offers are not the same as your status points for overall casino program benefits make it very confusing, but this may have been a mistake by the Host (who seemed very confused). Casino Royale points all track the same and are simply associated with your Crown and Anchor number.

It seems Celebrity are making changes because every rep I have spoken to both onboard and on the BCC line seem unsure of exactly how the program works.  One change (unless i was advised incorrectly) I hope they make right away is to extend their offers beyond 6 months. Casino Royale offers go up to a year, making them much more useful for regular players.

  8. Currently onboard the Odyssey and was chatting with our next door neighbor. They are avid Celebrity cruisers who play the casino. They mentioned they heard there were plans to combine the two lines casino programs in some way, but did not know the timeline. It would be a real positive imho. Has anyone heard this?
