Passing Grand Island. Blocker entering the basin - this may work out - time-wise.

Zaandam just north of Tracy Arm. Quantum otS is by Grand Island - she will block the camera, but maybe she'll be fully docked by the time our BHB shows up.

Got shorted a bit this morning. Zaandam tomorrow - regular afternoon time frame. Weather nice, viewing too short. See you all tomorrow. Leanne, thanks for the thread.

Entered Gastineau Channel.

We have a parade arriving- Led by Queen Elizabeth, then Jewel [both of them in the channel already], X Solstice followed by Noordam [Crown Pr about halfway to Grand Island] QE is anchoring and the early arrival of Crown Pr will probably preclude her from a temporary pier position [usually happens only when pier is open until the afternoon]. Anyway- Noordam not close but by the time the 3 ships ahead of her manœuver in, there may be no break in the viewing, even with blockers all over the basin. We can hope.

Noordam tomorrow even earlier - 8 am [breakfast 😄 ] but she usually arrives between 6 & 7 am AST. that is 11 - Noon EDT. Thanks to my fellow addicts and to our great cameraperson. Thanks, Leanne for the pictures and as always - the thread.

I believe they are called the 'dive boards' or something like that. They throw/shoot the ropes/lines to the pier and are the close-up eyes to what is going on down in front of the ship.

Feels like it is getting darker.

Maybe lots of pax because it isn't mealtime. The other ships seem to arrive at breakfast and lunch. 😄

And last season was so bad - seldom had a cameraperson. This year has been great. I don't complain this year when no cameraperson - but have mentioned it the very few times that no one has appeared - just to take notice.

Don't know how much more of Westy we will see, but I will hang around for awhile. Nieuw Amsterdam tomorrow - 10 am AST / 2 pm EDT. Usually close to on time. If that roof is open, I wouldn't be happy - too chilly/cold for me. All the sudden I'm getting a lot of buffering - already reloaded it once. 😞
