For safety record reasons...NO..I would not. You can google articles from late last year.

Hi! Can't speak to the Jewel but can speak to widespread Noro or some very similar GI bug here in the Northeast. You can be sure someone will board and not yet know they are sick and then get sick and touch things. Frankly, that could happen to me at the grocery store if I touch something : )
Given that they are giving the Jewel an extra cleaning I would feel better about your upcoming cruise than the one before it! Since the virus can live on surfaces that haven't been bleached for a while perhaps you can bring some clorox wipes and wipe down your cabin (remote, touch surfaces, etc). Then wash your hands really really well and don't touch you eyes, nose, and mouth.
Advice given by a mom with 4 germy kids : ) Enjoy your cruise!

With those ages I would totally save the money and stay with that cabin! Teenagers...NO..lol

I know these bikes. While I can't speak to the Liberty I have been on many RCL ships and I have never seen this. Just the upright stationary bikes, maybe some reclined, and spin bikes during the spin classes.

My experience in Vintages took place on the Anthem last April. It was never "crowded" by any stretch but there were the usual suspects in there for pre-dinner drinks and post dinner antics : ) Loved the wine dispenser..would never have been able to try those very expensive wines otherwise. Such a treat.
After dinner the Hotel director would mosey in and teach my 6 year old son a cork trick. He still plays this game to this day : ) We were provided a free flight of Caymus while our son was entertained by the HD. Later that night he had the captain come through so we could get our pictures taken and later in the cruise those were delivered to our cabin.
The HD loved to get behind the bar and do his own tasting experience with us. It was such a good time. We did this every night of the cruise. Yes...the snacks were from Jamie's and they were fantastic.
If you like wine I highly recommend Vintages. It feels like a ship within a ship so to speak. Not crowded, no cattle call...an almost decadent experience.

Sorry you did not enjoy MSC. You will love the YC I am sure. I had a great time on MSC. I thought the food was better...esp the pizza and wine served, it was cleaner...a ton cheaper and the servers were friendly. I am not a show person so I can't comment on that.

I would plan on 2 hours. If you are seated with just your family it could be quicker and you can always mention to your servers that you prefer a shorter dinner.

My family went last April for Spring Break. We had 6 people. Wanted 2 staterooms with 3 in each. We had to get 3 rooms. This was oceanview FYI. Our ship was full as most Spring Break cruises are and $$$. Good luck to you though!

From my own personal experience no need to worry about a "rainy season" for EC. Southern Carib..yes. We let our girls ages 14 and 13 stay in a cabin next door to ours (not connecting). It depends on your kids but it worked just fine for us. Just make sure you are all at the same muster station. Even across the hall it could be different.

Last year it was $12 per class and you could sign up for all the sea days on the first day. I would recommend you do so as they always sold out.
Not sure about the clips but most places I go to are SPD. I just had regular sneaks while on the cruise.

You might consider bringing some of your own. I have always put 2 twelve packs in a small piece of luggage and had no issues. Worse case scenario they take them and you are out $10 bucks. I do the same with a case of water....except I just put a bag tag on that.

While I did not personally use the PTs...I did use the gym everyday on the Anthem and I saw them in action every day. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Looked like a similar workout that I would get from my PT.

Jan/Feb is cold and everyone wants to go to a warm destination. September is hurricane season. Personally I have found that the first 2 weeks in December are a reasonable time to cruise if you can swing it.

Agree! I have been on both MSC and RCCL recently and MSC drinks are much cheaper and frankly the wine is better (with the exception of Vintages on Anthem). My H and I would never get the drink package on RCCL because the wine included is garbage if you really like wine. I would prefer to purchase what I want without feeling like I paid for it already and then I am paying for what I want on top of it. Hope that makes sense.

I want to say $12 per class

I took the spin classes on the Anthem last year. They were only offered on sea days and they were fabulous. Be sure to sign up in advance as they had a wait list. Bring your cycling shoes for sure. Of course you can always buckle in regular sneakers as well.

We took Anthem out of Cape Liberty for spring break last year and we are a family of 6. We had 3 cabins (Mom and child aged 7); (Dad and child age 10); 2 teen girls (14 and 13). We had oceanview staterooms all right next to each other. I highly recommend with the age group you have that you choose Anthem over say the Grandeur out of Baltimore. Having sailed both myself I can assure you that the Anthem will win hands down for the kids.
Could you get away with 5 staterooms?
Group A =1
Group B =2
Group C =2

Donh1....have a great time. I have sailed on Disney (Wonder, Fantasy) RCL (Explorer, Anthem, Grandeur), X (Summit), MSC (Divina)...I specify because this is wide variety and size of ship. We found Grandeur to have a wonderful crew, the ship was the perfect size in terms of getting around, and the food overall very good. It felt homey. Would I take this ship with my children...no. Just my husband and I definitely.
-
I found the food in the MDR of the Grandeur to be some of the best. Maybe because it is a smaller ship with less people to feed?
-
On our spring break cruise last year it was mainly East Coasters...not all but most.
-
I have taken quite a few RCI cruises and one carib cruise on Divinia. I loved it. The pizza is to die for in the buffet but you must get the pizza they make in the wine bar...it is from Eataly. The service was great and the food was better all around. The price was crazy low. My mom and I got a great balcony room for a week cruise $750 each. Dinner service was the same as RCI. I would go again in a heartbeat. Ship was clean as a whistle and gorgeous. I felt like it had a lot less in your face sales of cheap crap like watches/t shirts etc. Coffee in the coffee shop was what you would expect...gourmet! MMM
OH and they had these drink vouchers. I got 12 for like $80 or something like that. I worked out in the gym everyday and it was nice and up to date. I also found cruising with more folks from outside the US was nice too.

Since I cruised with RC, and read how much people loved it, I've only been focused on this line only. I did see the Anthem out of Bayonne, but I was thinking for first couple days everyone will be inside because it will still be a bit chilly in April...

This is true. Took April 2016 cruise out of Bayonne with our 4 kids last year. First day out and last day back where spent at the seaplex and indoor pool. My kids had a blast on the Anthem (15, 14, 11, and 7). One of them even cried on the car ride home : ) We had 3 cabins and the 15 and 14 year old girls came and went as they pleased. Great vacation.

We are also a Disney cruising family (wonder, wonder wonder, fantasy) but have taken more RCL cruises (Serenade, Explorer X3, Grandeur, Anthem). Also have sailed MSC Divina and Celebrity Summit. You are spot on about the Disney service and the condition of the ship as well as the private island experience. Disney is pretty much near twice as much $$ most of the time. While I have never had a terrible cruise if I had the $$$ it would be Disney every time. Glad you enjoyed your vacation!

I would order on the TV if you can. I have never had good luck with actually getting my order if I did the door hanger route.
