  1. Your statements redEding the coast guard. In fact, they are conducting a search for her now. It was really tacky and disrespectful for you to insinuate that Carnival didn't do more because they didn't want to offer the other guests FCC for complaining.

Thank you firemanbobswife, I have no idea what "Rena" is talking about.... I just posted prayers for the people.... Maybe Rena921 should re-read what you are linking to?

Prayers for the family and her, hope the Coast Guard finds her...

I am so sorry, the quote was meant for another poster. Blame it on user error. Once again, I'm sorry about that!

  2. Prayers for the family and her, hope she is found safe and sound.

  3. It's not the coast guards job beyond 1-2 miles from the coast. There have been people recovered from the ocean that have been out for many hours beyond 12 before. It's kinda silly to not make an attempt.

Carnival must not want to pay out everyone's FCCs of 20-30% from people whining about missing a port.

Sorry, you are incorrect. It's kinda silly for you to make comments like this.

  4. Corey's a great CD with a lot of personality. We had him on the Liberty last summer. He and the Piano Bar player broke out in an impromptu version of the theme from Titanic. you will have a good time with him.

  5. We've done three or four B2Bs. 99 percent of what needs to be done is just common sense.

This thread has morphed into a series of anecdotal vanity posts (let me tell you about my B2B).

Well, the OP did ask...

If the responses seem anecdotal vanity posts to you, you didn't have to respond.

  6. Doing our 2nd B2B this summer in the Breeze. the first one was in the Freedom in 2013. Best cruise experience ever. I love the familiarity of the crew during the second week. They all make a special point to come up to you and greet you by name. Our Maître'd offered to have the chef make us something special for dinner in case we were tired of the MDR food. We were off the ship a total of 10 minutes to go through customs and right back on. There were only 10 of us doing a B2B and it was awesome to have the entire ship to ourselves. The computers crashed in the terminal, so we actually had a couple extra hours of alone time. :) I was pretty cool to enjoy the Mongolian Wok without any lines!

  7. Hand washing is best. Wash your hands often. Not worried about twirling napkins. The idea that they should stop people from doing it is ridiculous in my opinion. If you're really that paranoid, I can't imagine being comfortable in any place on any cruise ship. Closest vacation environment there is.

I wonder if the ones concerned about the twirling napkins flew for their cruise, rode a shuttle bus to the port, stayed pre-cruise in a motel, ate in a fast food restaurant or even have kids in school? Stay away from the buffets as well. Talk about germ incubators.

  8. Like! Same here. That was my first thought when I read about them standing on the serving stations. No way to contaminate my food.

In my experience, I have found that the people that are germaphobes are the ones most likely to catch something and get sick.

It's because they are dousing themselves in hand sanitizer and disinfectants. They are killing the good bacteria and destroying their immune systems.

If twirling napkins and standing on service tables grosses some people out, they should probably not eat out at a land based restaurant. A lot of behind the scenes germs floating around there....not to mention touching money. Can you imagine how much snot and other DNA is on a dollar bill?

  9. We have always taken a signed notarized letter from my ex allowing me to take our children out of the country, I have been asked for it once on another cruiseline the first time we took the kids on a cruise. You may or may not be asked for it, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

  10. I wouldn't risk it. There is a lot of road construction in the area as well. It took us an hour to get from WDW to the airport in January. It is a minimum of a 45 minute drive from PC to ORD...without traffic and road construction. Booking that early is like playing with fire.

  11. We enjoy the shows, but we do ATD and usually miss them. I don't have a problem with the napkin twirling, but I do have issues with the waiters dancing on the same pedestals they place the trays of food on while sorting the orders.I assume these are the same shoes they wear into the restrooms. Gross!

Don't think this would be allowed in restaurants in the United States.

Oh, but it is allowed in many restaurants...

  12. Just read Nancy's post to John on FB. I felt the need this morning to tell the truth and call her out. Basically, I said that she lies. I even posted the grand total of our poll which is 158 - far from the hundreds she claims are responding.

I never do things like that, but I am so tired of seeing CC people be bashed on FB because of an exageration or out right lie that someone tells. Whoever Nancy is, I sure hope she responds to my comment - or that she shows up here and tries to explain her lies. :D

I did too. I can't believe her audacity. I am so sick and tired of people lying and twisting the truth to promote their own skewed views. I have been around here for quite a few years and am getting tired of people like her. It's really giving CC and the majority of us a bad name and it's disgusting.

  13. I actually like deck 6 overlooking the lanai. It's a great spot to people watch. I would say that maybe 1 out of every 10 people would even bother looking up at us. The lanai isn't really very busy either, the only time we really saw more than a few people out there was elegant night when taking pictures. You can get some beautiful shots from the lanai.
