Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We’re on this cruise that you mentioned! We booked way back last June, and I don’t think the prices are that much more different. We also got the Free at Sea promotion. My husband’s bucket list includes Gibraltar and this was the easiest way to get there. We went to Portugal two years ago and we can’t wait to go back to our favorite restaurants in Porto and Lisbon. Plus, we’re planning spending two days in Barcelona at the end. In my opinion, the itinerary is amazing! Just book it 🙂
  2. Yup. We're on the 3/10 sailing. Where are y'all coming in from? From where I am, in Charlotte, we're getting tons of rain, hopefully our flight can make it out. Our back plan is to just hop in a car if the flight is canceled.
  3. Yes but you’re supposed to be on the ship two hours before departure so we would have to make it through everything and be on the ship by 3.
  4. That was the plan, she would probably want her own appetizer and some other things. Not trying to cheat the system 🙂
  5. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We're sailing on the Breakaway 3/10 out of NOLA, and I completely spaced and didn't do the online check-in until a week after it had opened. As a result, the only check-in time was 2:30 p.m. We usually check in around 10-11 for all other cruises. I'm a little nervous about this because the departure time is 5pm and I thought we were supposed to all be on the ship two hours before departure. I feel like it doesn't make sense that they would have a check-in time so late. Does anyone know if we can arrive a bit earlier, say around 1pm? Norwegian said we can arrive at 1:30 pm but not any earlier. For anyone who has sailed out of NOLA, is that enough time to get through security and board? Thanks in advance!
  6. I have the same situation. We will be on the Breakaway this up coming Sunday, and then the Getaway in June. Our DD is 12, but she is a foodie. She loves to experience different cuisines, and when we travel, we splurge on restaurant experiences. I plan on just paying for her a la carte. But at Cagney's, I can't imagine eating a 16oz rib eye by myself so I might just give her half. If the wait staff says anything, I'll deal with it...like you're telling a mother not to give her kid a bite of her food? LOL When we were on a RCL cruise two years ago, DH couldn't go because he got COVID, so they allowed DD to use DH's meals. It's a different cruise line, but like other people said, it might be a case by case basis.
  7. That’s cool! I didn’t know about Cagney’s because we couldn’t get a reservation there.
  8. We had lunch on embarkation day at Grand Pacific, and the food was really good! It was a short cruise so we ate at all specialty dining restaurants since we upgraded to the FAS +, so Moderno, Le Bistro, and La Cucina. I’ll post some pictures
