  1. The line for the VIFP party was all the way into the casino. The rest of the ship is about to be real quiet 😆
  2. That was an amazing performance. There are some very talented crew on this ship. I have never seen the theater that full before. The show was put together in just three days but it was very good. There were multiple standing ovations.
  3. Should have just booked the Spirit and pretended like you didn't understand what he meant 😅.
  4. Three minutes to showtime and we are moving. Deck 4 port side if you are here and want to sneak in. None of the other entries are open. I suspect we aren't starting on time. One minute after showtime people are now streaming in the other doors.
  5. I've only seen it on reviews for splendor and Spirit. I'm hoping it wasn't just an Alaska thing. The menu does indeed look amazing and I'll be kicking myself if I didn't try it when I had the chance.
  6. The crew is putting on a talent show at 115. Eight minutes to showtime and they haven't opened the doors. Somebody got impatient and we started going in, but now the line has stopped somebody must have got scolded lol.
  7. It was divine! But too expensive for sure. The crab and avocado sandwich was a much better value.
  8. They also have a steakhouse brunch option for $25. I have not gotten the chance to try it yet because it was always on a day with a lunch menu instead of the standard brunch. Im hoping it is still offered on the Caribbean cruises so I can try it out.
  9. Idk what the app was doing. Seattle time is 3 behind not ahead. But it fixed itself before i got to brunch. I decided to get the last pay item today, lobster Benedict. This was a messy delicious treat and they were very generous with the lobster. But at $19 it's just priced too high and I probably wouldn't get it again. For dessert I went up to Lido for a slice of key lime cheesecake.
  10. The hub app did not survive the time change. It's back on Seattle time and will not let me check in for brunch since it thinks it's after 130. Going to go check in in person and hope it's not a complete zoo up there.
  11. Good morning. We lost another hour last night and we are now back on Eastern time. It's kind of a bummer losing three hours on your cruise but I think i like this direction better. There seems to be less enthusiasm around the ship now that we have crossed the canal. It's like the cruise was building towards something and now that we've done it, people seem ready to go. I think going the other direction that enthusiasm would be over pretty quick with a lot of time still to go before Seattle. Also the best ports were the last two. The first two were not worth the stop.
  12. Another day in the history books. Next up two days at sea on the way to Miami.
  13. I'm looking forward to trying out the freedom. It's one of two Conquest class I haven't been on yet.
  14. I'll be on both freedom transatlantics I think it would be a great choice. I did like cartagena too though. Maybe do both. Yes that's it, both 😁
  15. We've got a lot of distance to cover to get back to Miami in two days. Ship is sailing at 20.8 knots which has us rocking a little.
  16. For my starters I had the fried wild boar and crab melt brioche. The boar was just a tad salty bit still good. The brioche was fantastic. Yummy. For mains I had beef and broccoli and honey glazed pork loin. These were also good. The pork was a little hard to chew bit otherwise good. Dessert was the pineapple upside-down. This was s slice of warm dessert heaven.
  17. Tonight is the final new MDR menu and then it's back to the standard 8 rotating menus.
  18. And from the starboard side. Where the white buses are is the port shopping area and aviary. Very walkable.
  19. Yikes I really bombed on that trivia. We spent a little longer than usual in port admiring the wildlife so I missed all the trivia this morning. Made it back in plenty of time for lunch though 😋.
  20. Lots of pretty plant life. They even had a couple pigs. The birds were used to people. If you dared, you could even pick them up and hold them.
