Alright so I ran out of the casino after taking an ass whooping. I made my way into vintages. I’ve never been in here but I’m hungry and ready to try some of the snacks.

I don’t recall if there was ice but definitely was not water.

Entree was the salmon. Now the flavor is spot on but unfortunately mine is a little dry from being over cooked.

Poblano soup. This was tasty enough. One of my favorites the shrimp cocktail.

Made it to the MDR for dinner. first up was corn cakes. I didn’t like these. It was like a pancake with corn. Kind of weird. I did like the eggplant on the bottom.

So about that excursion… it was the snorkel & beach at turquoise bay. They say the devil is in the details. Now in my head I would be getting off the ship walking to another boat. We would then take a nice boat ride over to a snorkel spot. I would then be enjoying a nice lunch and drinks on the beach. That was not this excursion. We took a 40 minute bus ride to the other side of the island. We were dropped on the beach. We were the first group to arrive (I think 4 or 5 groups came after). I ended up skipping the snorkeling I just decided it wasn’t worth the risk of ear pain. We had open bar, nachos for a snack, and then buffet lunch. The chips were really good and I thought the chicken at lunch was tasty. They also had fried fish, beans w/rice, and salad. As an alternative they offered hot dogs and hamburgers. This place seemed fabulous for families. They had a lot of activities and you could easily add them while there. I saw horseback riding and kayaking being offered. They also had a more luxury side that we were roped off from. This had overwater bungalows, swim up bars and what looked like much more comfortable seating. I think that area would have been more in my wheelhouse. I did take a lot of pics but won’t be posting those until this weekend when I sync up all my devices.

Good morning from Roatan, So last night exhaustion won out. It was time to catch up on some sleep. I was in bed snoring by around 6:30. I was up a few times but for the most part stayed in bed until 4. it is difficult to get anything in the morning and this is always true on cruises. I’m an early riser so waiting until 7 am to get anything but coffee or water is a downer. It would be nice if they opened the juice bar at 6 am when they open the spa. I have an early excursion so it was my first trip to the windjammer. I had an omelette and fruit. They hand out pagers at the omelette bar which was nice. it will be snorkeling and beach today. I’m a little hesitant since my left ear seems to have some weight in it this morning. Those with ear problems which I’ve had all my life know this can become unpleasant quickly. We will see what happens. the sun is coming up.

Entree was the pesto. I didn’t like this dish. It was served lukewarm.

Next was a repeat of French onion soup

First out tonight is jumbo coconut shrimp. The dining room is pretty empty tonight.

It was amazing. Such a great experience.

The ATV’s were intense. It was so much fun. The first few minutes were a little scary. I just thought screw it today is as good a day to die as any. I just leaned into and had a great time. I’ve never done any off-roading so I felt like I’d entered extreme sports. I would highly recommend. the caverns were pretty but I couldn’t get past the sulphur smell. It was just too strong for me. You could also cliff jump into the cavern if you wanted. I thought I’d been adventurous enough today and decided to skip it. they also offered unlimited tequila shots when we got back. My liver was still on hiatus so I skipped those. I heard others say the shots were really good. I was covered in dirt like completely covered. I did manage to forget my cash on my bed in the cabin. I didn’t realize until it was too late. I felt pretty bad not being able to leave a tip. Those guys work mainly for tips. I have to be extra careful about these things when I’m on my own since I don’t have anyone to cover me. I also grabbed some fish taco from tequila go go right on the pier. When I got off the ship I realized I was starving so gulped those down before meeting for the excursion. They were pretty good. sorry no pics at the moment. They are on a different device and I’m too lazy right now to attempt to sync.

So i am someone who goes to restaurants by myself all the time. I enjoy it. It gives me a chance to just chill and relax. I originally had my time dining and the times were just too late for me. They would not change it precruise when I called. The first thing I did when I boarded was go to the dining room to switch to early dining. The time worked better for me and I would be able to just walk in without waiting in line. He did want to put me at a shared table and I declined and requested the 2 top. No issues.

So I got the dreaded balcony maintenance card on my door last night. We will see if they are still working when I get back later. I can hear powertools being used somewhere but haven’t seen anyone yet. the time is super confusing. Cozumel is one hour earlier. Excursion tickets are on ship time. When I booked it was local time so again just confusing. About my room… I hate the location. I’m forward starboard and nothing is on the forward part of the ship. I think it is the spa and adventure ocean. This has caused me double the steps. I’m looking forward to moving to port aft next week. My back was killing me yesterday so it was difficult to walk far distances and stand for long periods. Luckily the pain is gone today and I’m ready to conquer the ATV.

Good morning from Cozumel. Last night is a bit of a blur. My liver is angry this morning. I guess that will happen after drinking for 15 hours straight. I vaguely recall losing a bunch of money in the casino. It must have seemed worse than it was cause I had a bunch of cash still when I got up this morning. I also keep finding chips so I didn’t go broke. The liver is going to take a well needed rest day. I’m sure she will be ready to play again this evening. Today is ATV and Jade Caverns. This is a first for me and am excited to try it. I hope to get in a little shopping as well. The weather is nice. It is going to be a fun day. Fingers crossed I don’t injure myself. 🤞

That tenderloin was delicious. Spot on. The matre’de also stopped by to ask me what my dining preferences are for next week. I thought that was a nice touch.

Entree is beef tenderloin.

Next was the wedge. It was fine. I think some blue cheese on it would have made it a winner.

The waitress just asked me if I don’t drink. 🤣🤣 I’m pretty drunk today, I’ve been going since 9 am. I’ve never been a fan of eating while iI’m drinking. Next up in French onion soup. Pretty good.

The menu tonight looks good. First up was calamari. It was okay.

I hated it. The waiting was putting me to sleep. It is far from regular blackjack. I bet big and was out in 2 rounds which wouldn’t have been a big deal if I hadn’t waited 45 minutes. One and done for me.

Thanks! Honestly I’m falling asleep waiting. I d never entered one before. If I’d realized how long it takes and how much waiting is involved I would have skipped it.

I happened to be in the casino when they were starting the blackjack tournament so I decided why not. We shall see what happens.
