  1. I booked mine the other day online and I'm certain it said you book which show/day you want once you've boarded. That said there are two different shows so I assume they are either both on ( on different times) every day or in different days. There are a couple people posting at the who are on the boat now I'd ask the question there.

  2. No idea on speed but I think allowance on the streamer package is 1800mb (1.8gb) a single episode of a TV programme is anything between 400-700mb.. you'd need to try and force lower quality to limit data use

  3. I'm a little worried that the balconies on YouTube don't appear to have any furniture on them

Reading other material on the web/YouTube they say furniture will be put onto balconies during the course of the week in preparation for the first "proper" cruise week next week

  4. Great video NorwegianCruiser :D - I am a bit confused as it says Aurea customers have their own private sun deck but where is it?

    Can anyone enlighten me please?

So glad you are enjoying the ship though!

Aurea customers get access to the Top 18 Sundeck which is on Deck 18 and I think includes a pool. This is free for Aurea ( and I believe Adult only ) but other passengers can pay to use as well. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.

  5. Hi Gina, we're sailing on 5th August. It looks like there are three MDR (complimentary) restaurants on the ship - L'Olive doree, L'Olivo d'oro and Panorama Restaurant (Marketplace and Waves are also included on MSC for Me app as well). I assume you can use any of these restaurants? Does each restaurant cater for My Choice Dining on the Aurea package?

  6. Nice of someone to post a video of a duplex cabin where we will be next January! :D

Cabin and balcony looks great. The sofa / bed seems a bit small though? I think my wife and I may have to sleep there so our ever growing teenagers can have the bed upstairs split into two.

Thanks for posting this! Going in Aurea Duplex suite at the beginning of August on our first ever cruise. I think we're going to be spoilt!

  7. If you follow this link to the msc website and select something like a balcony youll see the experiences listed below. Click on the experience and to the right youll see the description of the experience (click more for full description ) . For the fantastica experience you get priority choice of dining time which I think means you can pick which dining sitting you would like to attend (for the duration of the cruise ).

Flexible or anytime dining is available for Aurea only.

  8. I'd agree with Kernow that the tipping culture in Britain is very different to America. Most people expect/do get paid a fair salary (and that in itself could be debated for a long time) for the job they do (in whatever industry they work) and do not expect a significant portion of their pay to be made up of tips. That's not to suggest people don't tip but that it tends to be for exceptional service rather than just because the person has done the job they've paid for.

  9. We've just booked the Meraveglia on the Aurea package and that has flexible dining ( we still got asked at booking for early or late sitting ) my understanding is that part of the main restaurant is allocated to flexible dining to allow for this to work. Obviously those in the YC have their own restaurant.

  10. Well we took the plunge today too on our very first cruise. We will be on Meraviglia in an Aurea Duplex Suite on Deck 9.

Was looking at the Splendida and then noticed this brand new boat and the cabins just looked wonderful.

We're going first week of August.

Looking forward to a fantastic experience with our young son and teen daughter.:)

Can't wait to see some real photos of the boat and cabins.
