  1. SO jealous! I LOVE the Bliss - well the Haven especially and all of the staff. Just got off her In April. We just did the Pacific Coast so I can't help Alaska...we did enjoy San Francisco and the Canadian ports 🙂 Have a blast! I should add that I am cruising to Italy and Greece so for my birthday in 50 days so I'll be ok lol!
  2. I always order ahead. On my last cruise I think it was a few dollars cheaper to preorder, but I pre-order because I love water and on that 1st day there's a lot of stuff do and I want water in the room while I unpack and change, etc.. Last cruise we were in the Haven the Butler filled a large pitcher of ice water for us twice a day. We won't be in the Haven this time so I'll preorder some and then we'll fill our giant water bottles to use less waste.
  3. When we were in the Haven our Butler filled our ice water pitcher twice a day and it was awesome.
  4. This happened to me for my April cruise and I kept calling and being told to wait until one day a rep said there was a problem and give her an hour to fix it and she'd email my docs. She did. Call again and insist it's a glitch if you know it's correct. In my case it said completed and I have cruised enough times to know it was on their end.
  5. I am wondering how, or if this will impact my cruise. We are booked from 9/2-9/12 and have not received a cancellation letter. According to the letter in this thread and multiple news articles, she is going into dry dock on 9/8? Or She is not available to book after 9/8? If so, why didn't they say the actual date she'd go to dry dock instead of picking a date in the middle of a cruise not yet canceled lol? Have read of ongoing issues since the last repair and am concerned we might not get canceled now but that it may happen closer to the sail date. Considering we're in the US, this cut-off is too close for comfort I think if we were to get canceled right before the sail date. Obviously, I can't control it.... just sharing out loud I guess. I understand the issue and would be disappointed, but I would rather know now. I will call NCL tomorrow when they open but as of right now my cruise shows active and available to book. I am sorry for everyone who has been canceled. Although I have cruised many times, about 15 years ago I said this is what I wanted to do for my milestone birthday, and i feel we'll be canceled, so I understand the disappointment
  6. The Bliss, but I really enjoyed the Breakaway a few years ago. The Bliss hands down though, so pretty and nicely appointed and awesome viewing areas. I was in the Haven though sooo.... but I did enjoy the rest of the ship as well. Glad to hear the Escape is liked, I am on her in September for a birthday cruise to Greece and Italy. Seems like she's due for a drydock though....
  7. Following! I will be on her with the same itinerary in September. I hope the rest of the cruise goes as planned 🙂 I hope you do a review if you like 🙂
  8. I have not been on the Joy, but the Haven on the Bliss in April was beyond amazing for us. Beautiful Haven indoor observation lounge (2 stories) and the pool area was large and well appointed. Really nice Haven upper deck with viewing seats up high with a bar to Service was impeccable in the bar and the restaurant. Our butler was the best ever, but he gets off in a few days for some time at home 🙂 We had a penthouse suite and really enjoyed the separate living room area from the bedroom, not a huge balcony but could fit a few people with chairs and a table just fine.
  9. I sailed in the Haven on the Bliss in April. We used 1 specialty dining (that we had booked for the 1st night, knowing we had a plan) and cancelled the rest because the Haven food was the best food and the ship! I hope you enjoy the food 🙂
  10. I hope it's back to being a true live band on the Escape when I sail her this September. This was my favorite place on the Breakaway pre-covid. We just sailed the Bliss and they hav ethe British version, but it closed the whole cruise (pretty sure it was covid) and was open before we cruised and about 2 weeks after.
  11. My daughter and I sailed on the Bliss Mid April in the Haven and fortunately we did not get sick. The ship had only about 1200 people on board, and being in the Haven and enjoying our suite gave us plenty of room. Unfortunately all of our entertainment was cancelled for that cruise, including the Pour House lounge (the British one- not sure if that's the name).. I believe the entertainment staff had covid but I don't know for sure, so we weren't in close proximity to anyone for anything. Oh we did go to the comedy shows - they did have those. But we had room away from others since the cruise was low capacity. Looks like since, all of the shows returned about 2 weeks after.
