I am excited for you! I hope that you have a blast! It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of your vacay - only what you think. We live in a good amount of snow and my dd and I are sailing up to Canada in Mat when everyone around says go tropical - we don't care lol. We cruise a ton and last year we did this spring cruise in April toward the cold up to Canada and loved it! We had done so many tropical cruises and land vacations that we decided to do this quick 5-day cruise and found that I was relaxed. I wasn't too worried about port days and staying up late dancing and drinking... we booked a Haven suite and enjoyed just spending time together (she was 19 so it's a blessing) and I found that I really had time to relax and recharge rather than run around like crazy. I still totally enjoy that part of warm weather cruises, but have found I like this slower pace too. My daughter says I wear her out so she is about this northern relaxing cruise lol. While the Escape wouldn't be my 1st choice due to the smoking areas and the bathroom - if the itinerary and price and dates worked out, I would not hesitate to book on her. Also, my daughter picked that bus tour in Aruba and I already prejudged it thinking it was dumb, but I wanted her to pick our excursion and so I pasted on a smile and went along. WE HAD A BLAST! So much so, that not only did we fall in love with Aruba, she chose Aruba as her high school graduation trip 2 years later and we booked the nighttime party bus since she was legal to drink lol.

I was on the Escape for 10 days in Italy in September and I brought a straightener and my mom brought a rotating hot brush sort of similar to the Instyler. We didn't have issues, nor did we use them lol! It was so hot and humid that we had our up lol!

In September we were on the Escape on deck 15 spa club suite cabin and the pool was on 15. We were probably pretty close to under it actually but I think the spa and Haven cabins are extra insulated from my experience because I never had an issue with noise when booking those cabins.

Yes, they have a testing app. We have iPhones and were able to iMessage for free and I don't think we had any time it didn't work last cruise in September or last April.

I am sorry to hear that. It sounds like he was trying to come in a day early to avoid this. I hope that he has a passport so that he can book a one-way flight- I hope that it's affordable so he can get on a flight that arrives in time.

Get him the unlimited Starbucks drink package for $12.95 a day if he drinks that much Starbucks!

I sailed on her 4 years ago and had a blast! I think it was out of Miami? A frined had sailed her 4 months before us out of New Orleans and they had a blast and recommended the ship which was great since the itinerary and price were great!

I had a great time on the Escape in August / September in Italy for my birthday! Please take care of my favorite bartender on that ship - Ronal from Peru and he will take great care of you! Packed ship and he took such great care of my mom and I - naturally, it was mutually beneficial lol, but he also seemed like a nice guy that we got to know pretty well. The other bar were pretty good too at the pool bar.

I will ignore the rest but say that I love the Bliss! I sailed on her last year and was fortunate to be in the Haven and had an amazing trip up to Vancouver! The ship is beautiful and the service was amazing! You're coming from snow to sun and I am once again sailing back up to Vancouver 1st week of May - and I live in Lake Tahoe - so from snow to snow lol!

Question, cruised many times, but I am about to go on my 1st 10-day cruise. Will the special still only be offered 1-time mid-cruise? I think it's weird that you get the laundry perk in a club suite, but I did not get it in the Haven lol. Thank you.

Still crossing my fingers for a winning bid for my 9/2 cruise out of CIV / Rome. Looks to be pretty full so I don't know.

If you're in the Haven, try a smoked drink, the smoky old-fashioned is good. I know you had a regular already... Or let them create something based on what spirit and flavors you like.

I think we were through the Haven lines in under 10 minutes in April.

San Pedro? we cruised the Haven in April on the bliss from San Pedro. It was pretty quick to get to the Haven area BUT The Haven setup is jenky. Just a smaller area of folding chairs and snacks. Glad we didn't get there that early because it was packed. We got there just in time for us to be escorted up.

I should add that I also enjoy not needing to think about or budget for the expenses if I didn't get the package.

It's worth it for us. We like to choose our cabin so we wouldn't book a sail-away rate anyway. Then it's very inexpensive to add the gratuities on the drinks and the dining. The included wifi is enough for us and sometimes we do NCL excursions and like the $50 credit. It just depends on what is important to you.

I'm on this cruise. Per NCL it's not canceled. It's the last one before dry dock. I guess anything could happen tho lol! we've already spent the money so I hope NCL is correct. I think it would have been canceled already when the others were canceled. But won't really know until we sail I guess.
