Not trying to worry anybody, but my test expires in 10/5/21. It is my understanding that the expiration dates have been extended. But, I just got this response from Abbott directly. So now I'm confused. I was on hold for 4 hours but I had to hang up. What do yall think? Not trying to worry anyone, just showing what I got. Thanks.
Please read. I just received my test and looked up the lot number. My tests are good until Feb. 2022.

How long is the test kit itself good for? Expiration date?
Mine expire in February which is disappointing because we cruise again in April

I have always gotten both water and coffee from the coffee shop on debarkation morning.

I ordered the test for our October 24th cruise, I won't open it until the 22nd.

What happens if you don't get your results in time?

I received the refunds for my cancelled October cruise, FTTF, gratuities, vacation protection and port fees. I did not receive my refund on the Cheers package I bought on sale in April. Are they rolling that into the new cruise? It was on sale and nonrefundable but Carnival cancelled on us, we didn't cancel on them.

I really don't want to be a killjoy but if COVID taught the industry anything it should be smaller ships. I think the Dream Class should be the biggest.

Jimbo the choosing what side is correct will NEVER be solved. To those saying "no big deal" the small county I live in is going to mask required in ALL public places tomorrow.
We are now at a level 3 (Red) which will require more mandates. The Governor who was very proactive from the start , is addressing the state this afternoon.
Pretty sure Ohioans won't be happy.
We are far, far from being over and let's not forget flu season is quickly approaching, which will more than likely compound things.
I am in OH as well, I in a "red" area. I also worked in Infectious Diseases at a major hospital and still have many contacts. I am not worried about this in the least. I have a high risk family member who works every single day with the public.

Our first and third cruises were on the Fantasy, out of Charleston and Mobile, such a good ship. If the cruise lines have any takeaways from COVID it should be smaller ships not larger .

There is no lunch menu, they have a port day breakfast menu and a sea day brunch menu. The brunch menu contains lunch items.

I hope so Saint Greg!

If they took at least 50% of the total Cruise fare upfront and also made it non-refundable
Yes but they aren't cancelling until after final payment is due, people with some September cruises has to make final payment. Now their money is tied up for months.

It could be that it sold out. With all the cancelled cruises people were booking into the fall and winter. I'm booked on the Breeze in early December and ours is gone too, but I know that it has been teetering on the verge of being sold out for a while. They also rescheduled a big poker tournament to our cruise too, apparently. Keeping fingers crossed that you can sail in October.
It's kind of hard to believe EVERY 7 day cruise has sold out.

Quick 3 day trips mean alot more people passing through the terminals and the ships, exposing workers to double (more or less) the amount of people in one 6 day trip.
Pandemic-wise the six or seven day trips or longer are much more logical to reduce exposure.
The profitability of the longer ones, like everything else here, can be argued.
So true/.

Because the shorter amount of time a person stays in the same place, the less likelihood that the place will have to deal with a severe illness. The odds of someone going from testing negative to being admitted to the hospital are most likely more than three days.Yes but a ship turning over every 3-5 days could potentially infect more people.

We are booked on a cruise 10/25 out of Baltimore on the Pride, 7 days. It is gone also. As the OP stated only 3, 4 & 5 day cruises show availible.
My personal opinion is that they are planning to start off with shorter cruises first. I am failry certain the 6+ day cruises in October will be cancelled. My big hope is that if they are going to to that, they do it before my final payment date of July 27th.
That is my hope as well.

The initial game plan from Carnival as was reported was 8 Ships and 3 embarkation ports. Assuming that the same game plan would take effect after they get CLIA and CDC approval, then this would explain why NOLA is not available for October bookings.
The initial ports are of course fluid and maybe Galveston will be a tragedy. Since it's cost prohibitive for me to ever cruise out of Galveston, whatever happens in that port has zero effect on me.
You can book a 5 day out of NOLA just not a 7 in October.

But Galveston was one of the first planned ports and all of their 6+ day cruises for October were also removed two days ago.
Yeah but they have 4 and 5 days out of NOLA

Whoa. I was looking at October cruises yesterday...and they're starting to disappear. Specifically Vista and Freedom.
All 7 day cruises out of New Orleans are off the website for October.

Nope. Just means I have a different opinion that you can't tolerate, so you go calling people names and diagnosing them with depression. That was a good one by the way. I am not trying to be anyone's savior. I would just like to be able to put my opinion out there without being shouted down by the likes of you. You have been calling me doom and gloom since March. What were you calling me that for, oh that's right because I didn't think there was a snowballs chance that cruises would be taking off in August or September. Well guess what. Things aren't looking to good for Aug and Sept. Instead of saying oh skridge you were kind of right about that you are going to double down and call me more names. I really hope cruising will be back by November, but with so many people out there flouting all the things that could make this thing better, my new prediction is March of next year.
You seem like an angry negative person.

I had one on the Glory before lockdown, they would not use butter. I asked for very light mayo and they accommodated.
