We take the flu shots every year, so why not the vaccine shot every year?
It would be nice if the covid jabs work for longer than a year. I know we won’t know until later, but it would be seriously nice.

Just checked and no email yet for December cruise I just booked.
-
I would wait till the last minute to see if they cancel. If the prices haven’t gone up you can always rebook after final payment. The only problem is you might lose the location if you wanted that area and there’s always a chance the price could go up. It’s unfortunately a gamble either way. Good luck whatever you do.

Another step in the right direction.

I get emails from Carnival, Disney and RC. I delete most of them regardless of the graphics.

With the anticipated return of cruising, excitement is high as are bookings. Many of us remember cruising as it once was. With new restrictions, will this limit the FUN on Carnival and possibly sour the experience until restrictions are lifted. This could take a year or two. Will these possible restrictions limit the FUN.
1. Mask required
2. Limited seating in nightclubs
3. Limited seating in shows
4. Limited seating/games in casino
5. Slow turnover of players in casino resulting in waiting to get a slot machine
6. Carnival only excursions
7. Fewer ports of call due to slow reopening by other countries. 8. Key West no longer available as a destination and Grand Cayman may limit cruise ship visits.
9. Hairy chest contest eliminated.
10. Lido deck games removed due covid restrictions; putt putt, cornhole, chess, ping pong, ice carving, mixology contest, hot tubs, etc... I have no real insight to what the restrictions may be, but in reallity, these could all occur. Will this effect your experience?
With all the restrictions where would the FUN be?

There would be some partying going on because it’s New Year’s Eve. School is out so more families, but will be some more drinking.

How about a thread that deals ONLY with real documented facts from Cruise lines, Crew Members and Ports of Call / Departure.
Will get lots of views and hopefully only a few replies, but when there is a reply it contains factual information.
Just a thought .
There are very little facts. One fact is everyone wants this to go away so we can start cruising again. Other than that most is all speculation. Wished I had more facts.

Thanks for the links. Looking forward to sailing on her.

Royal has been saying test cruises are just around the corner for a long time. At least now I’m beginning to think they are just around the corner. It might be a big corner, but at least it’s coming. As for which ports will be open it’s to soon to say. So many different things depend on it.

Reservations can be made for several couples without any problems.

Mine isn’t until 2023 and I’m not even sure of the days. To depressing to count.

It depends what you consider decent. Personally I thought their profit margins would be higher but they spend a lot of money on R&D so the profits get eaten by that. After all if you're going to charge $500 for a 20 course degustation you need to be serving more than steak and chips 😂. One patisserie chef in Melbourne said it took her five years to figure out how to develop the flakiest croissant. That croissant went on to win awards even the French said it was the best 🥐😋.
If it took her 5 years to get the flakiest croissant then she doesn’t know the science behind baking. A 20 course degustation is nuts to me, but to each their own. 🙄

We did that once years ago. We simply cancel with the agent. Booked with another agent. First agent was not happy and tried to claim a benefit with the cruise line. The second agent took care of it for us. Was a long time ago.
How would the first agent know that you rebooked with someone else?

Just change the last 2 letters of the url to the ship code to see the ship that you are looking for.
That’s great.

MSC has been selling all cabin types - including tiny single insides - since they started sailling in 2020!
😱 There is no way I would risk that.

Discussed this with my husband last night. He is adamant that he will not cruise unless we are at least in an Oceanview balcony. He is worried about the ship getting quarantined and he would rather be stuck in a junior suite or above. I imagine that there are other cruisers who feel the same.
Same here.

It would be quite unwise for him to lie on an earnings call so I would be confident to say that it is true if he said it.
Edit - Jason Liberty said bookings were up 30% compared to Nov/Dec of 2020, so that is not an overall 30% increase. Fain added that Nov/Dec was a terrible time, so that 30% increase does not amount to much.
That makes more sense.

Thanks.

I wonder if it’s really true that the bookings are up or is that some dreaming?

Get a clean diaper and place your items in it and close it up as if its dirty, no one will touch it.
So funny. You could also take something that looks like poop and smear it on a small area. Watered down acrylic paint?

I don’t have any, but enjoyed reading others.

I like it and I also love the paint jobs on the NCL ships.
