I put a refundable hold on the Royal Loft on Quantum for Alaska and when I finally booked the difference in cost between refundable and non-refundable was almost $3000 for 4 people.  For us it was not much of a choice which one we chose.

That’s a huge difference. I would have also gone with non-refundable in that case.

Not sure if there is a question.  More of a reaction to me following  a few threads and feeling flat after seeing so many occasions when they appeared more like twitter than the CC I had come to know.

CC has definitely changed since covid started. There is very little to talk about when it comes to actual cruising. I’m sure when cruising starts again CC will go back to the way it was or at least close to it.

It is obnoxious to want to cover your costs and make money from your business😳? The ingredients they use already are expensive and the work that goes into designing each dish can take up to a year so personally I'm OK if they pay the staff accordingly for their work.

I would never pay that much, but if someone else wants to that’s up to them. What I would like to know is what are the staff doing the other 364 days? As for the profit margins being very thin, I don’t think so. If a typical restaurant can have decent profit margins why would these extremely expensive places have thin ones? 🤔

Vegas has become a real food hot spot. I'm sure proximity to LA has something to do with that. Joel Robuchon, currently closed due to COVID, is just one. Diner for two with wine pairings probably in the realm of $K!

As possibly the best French restaurant in town, the dining experience at Joël Robuchon comes with one of the highest average check prices. Guests can expect to pay nearly $500 per person for the signature, 16-course degustation menu.Dec 17, 2019

That’s crazy. I can think of so many other things to do with the money. No food tastes that great and no ambiance is worth that much to me.

What is their plan for those that cannot be vaccinated and are completely healthy to travel? I am talking about everyone under the age of 16. There is no vaccine for them and the earliest will be is sometime in 2022 at the earliest. Should families with children be banned from cruising? The answer is no. They will face massive backlash and most likely a Class Action lawsuit for age discrimination. Then you have the others that have religious reasons not to be vaccinated.

I am 100% in agreement that anyone that is eligible to receive the vaccine be vaccinated. By the end of June there should be enough to vaccinate 250M people in the US. Take out the under 16 age group and you have maybe 90% of the US vaccinated.

Why shouldn’t they be banned if not vaccinated? If it is required then that is their rule. Pregnant women after a certain time in their pregnancy aren’t allowed to cruise either. A class action lawsuit is ridiculous. This will eventually go away.

I heard from a lot of people that they’ll refuse the shot.  It’s based on what they heard of the ingredients used to make this concoction and the one they have an issue with is that they use aborted babies stem cells.  Now don’t shoot this messenger but word is that’s what you’ll be injected with.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You really shouldn’t spread such false info. I’m amazed at what people think. 🙄

Truth?  If you do totally disrespect disabled people by booking these cabins when you are not disabled not only is it a total jerk wad move on your part and you being a total tard, but also there is a high probability that you will be moved to whatever cabin NCL chooses to move you to when they realize that you are doing so.

So true. If someone doesn’t need a HC room they shouldn’t book it. It leaves the true HC person not being able to book a cruise.
